Are you using the VGA cord or the DVI? If using the VGA switch to DVI, maybe there is a short with the VGA plug inside the monitor. a VGA to DVI adapter on the back of pc should do the trick unless your computer has a DVI connection as well..

Ghost images and vertical lines on new FPD1775W monitor


You going to need a new logic board inside witch controls the signals from your video board on your computer. that is the only fix there is that i know of and I been around the block a few times with gateway.

My monitor light comes on but there is no signal.


Isolate the problem. Connect the problem monitor into different computer. If the problem monitor worked on another computer, try connecting a CRT monitor to the problem computer. Once the display comes back, change the screen resolution.

You might want to consider a default settings reset. To refresh or reset the monitor back to default settings, unplug the monitor's power cord, and then press the the power button for five (5) seconds to drain any residual power. Plug in and then turn on the monitor. The default settings load.

Wide vertical lines on screen


Hello there!
First things First
1) If you can or have another monitor try and see if the problem persist.
2) RMS the monitor if you keep these problem in these particular monitor.
3) usually these, problems, its cause by a bad capacitor in the monitor motherboard, or resistor.
4) it is best to return the monitor.

Use these steps
1. Rightclick on the Desktop
2. Click Properties
3. Click ScreenSaver Tab
4. Click Power
5. Turn on Monitor - Never
6. System Stand by - Never
7. Click Apply
