Question about Kodak EASYSHARE Z1485 IS Digital Camera
You don't need any special software (or a USB cable, for that matter).
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Testimonial: "Thanks so much for all the helpful info! I actually had a card reader that I had never used, and it worked out perfectly. I also downloaded Picasa per your recommendation, and I love it! Thanks again! I thought I was stuck with a camera that I wouldn't be able to retrieve photos from. You saved the day! Jenifer"

!. remove all easy-share software.
2. Down load a free image editor such as Google Picasa
Windows does not need software from a camera CD to load images- it simple see camera an a removable drive.
A proper editing software is better than any 'get you started stuff' on a Camera CD>

I have Kodak EasyShare C613 camera. I have some nice pictures on the memory card. My WinXP recognizes the camera, but won't find any drivers for it. So camera is detected, software running, but i'm not able to transfer the pictures, because I can't connect to camera. Any ideas to solve this?
