Just making sure............you definitely have the Radeon 1650 Pro Video Card? Is there video built into the motherboard? Meaning, without the Radeon card installed, is there a VGA connection available? Have you updated your BIOS?

If you have a different version of windows:

select which version of windows you have
select "Radeon" and then "Radeon 9200 Series"

Your Windows version can be found by pressing and holding the windows logo key + pressing pause

Try removing your AGP card and enabling the onboard graphics again. It is possible your Radeon is a 3.3v, but this board only supports 1.5v cards. Take a look at the manual at ftp://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/D845GERG2/BV2RG2_English.pdf

Video card installation

With no drivers, the system does not know how to display the image. Does the POST message appear as it starts up? If it does, then press F8 while Windows is booting and enter safe mode, and load the drivers from the CD.

ATI 9600 xt problems

Hi, Im guessing that your motherboard has an intergrated video card & you installed the 9600 card into the opened AGP slot on the board. If you would have listed the model number of your motherboard I would't have to guess. What you need to do is enter your bios & make a change so your bios loads the AGP slot & not the intergrated video card. How to get into your bios? As soon as you turn on the Pc press the Delete key every two seconds. If your system fails to load the bios than you will need to try some of the others F keys. Let the PC finish loading. Re-start the PC. As it starts up try the F1 key every two seconds. Continue in this manner using these other F keys untill your system boots into the bios. F2, F10 or F12. One will work for you. Once in the bios use your manual if you have one. You are looking for Video display. You want the bios to load the AGP slot first, this will disable the intergrated video automatically. Your Pc will now see your 9600 video card & you will be able to load it's software. If the 9600 uses ATI's software you should update the Radeon software by going to ATI/AMD & update your video software with the latest drivers. Click the link I have posted below to upgrade your Radeon 9600XT card. Good idea to save the link.

Remove your card. Clean the AGP slot & the video card. Reinstall the card. Still having trouble. Download the latest driver, below: Befor you install the latest driver package. Update windows. You will need .Netframwork ver. 2.0. Uninstall your current driver through Control Panel, ADD/Remove programs.
If the uninstall fails download and run ATI's uninstall utility: http://searchna.ati.com/promosearch/?site=us-en&la=en&qt=cat-uninstaller&selectsite=ATI&sp_a=sp10039240&sp_p=all&sp-x-1=col&sp_f=ISO-8859-1&sp_q=cat-uninstaller&Search.x=9&Search.y=8
