You have given a very detailed description of the problem with the video.
It will however, be helpful if you provide the actual model number to help give a more detailed solution for the problem. It is written on the inside of the door module usually on the side. Something like FDB700BFC2 etc.

The problem could be with the thermostat which is letting the heater continue to run and could burn out.

SOURCE: dishwater fills with water, hot...but doesnt wash?

when in the wash phase, listen for a low hum near the wash pump. if you hear this it indicates the wash pump capacitor is faulty or something jammed in the pump.after that you will have to access the wash pump and check if there is any supply to it

SOURCE: dishwasher pump will drain but not force water into spray arms

If the washer is not used regularly the shaft can stick to the seals and prevent the motor from spinning. This happens quite regularly for me if I don't use the washer often. You can just take off the bottom panel - after shutting off power to the dishwasher - and access the motor. you should see some fins and then just try to spin the motor by hand. It usually takes about 90 degrees of rotation before the motor breaks free from the seal. You'll have to fight through the spring-like resistance created by the seal-shaft adhesion. After it breaks free the motor spins freely and you should be all set to go. I haven't found a more permanent fix for this other than running the dishwasher more regularly.

Soap remains on the dishes after the wash cycle is complete.

Check that the holes in the spray arms haven't blocked up and the filters in the bottom are clean. The arms may not be rotating. To check this, when the machine is washing, open the door, turn all the spray arms to face the same direction, shut the door and leave running for about 30 seconds. Open the door again and look at the position of the spray arms. They should have moved.

  1. Check the water temperature. Should be 125 to 140 F.
  2. Check pump re-circulation., Listen, see if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough pressure.
  3. Check water level when the fill cycle has completed. Should be just under the heating element. If not, possibly need to replace the water inlet valve.
  4. Check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks.
  5. Check to make sure dishwasher is draining after each cycle. There should only be a little water in the bottom of the tub.
  6. Make sure the dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.
  7. Possibly try a different detergent. Some liquid-gels will bubble and a pump cannot pump bubbles.
Scrape away large pieces of food, bones, pits, toothpicks, etc. Burned on food should be loosened before loading. Empty liquids from glasses and cups. Foods such as mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice and tomato products may cause discoloration of stainless steel and plastics if allowed to sit for a long period of time. Unless the dishwasher is to be operated at once, it is best to rinse off these food soils. Load racks so that large items do not prevent the detergent dispenser from opening. If the dishwasher drains into a food disposer, be sure disposer is completely empty before starting the dishwasher.

Model FDB750RCC1 goes through pre rinse cycles with no issues. Once the soap drops it puts water in an does not spray. Then drains. Fills again, just heats w no spray, drains. Etc someone said it may

There should be an automatic float valve that allows a certain amount of water to fill the machine automatically. There may also be a dial adjustment that allows you to say whether it is a full load or variations less than full. Check to see if both of your water feeds (hot and cold) are suppling enough water. If it is a top loader you can peek inside the machine at various times to see what is going on (there is a safety switch that will turn off the drum activities when you do and resume when you close it). If it continues to drain and fill on the wash cycle without actually having the agitator do any washing, you have a control switch problem! THat main control switch is not advancing as it should. Change it out!

I have an older GE dishwasher Model # GMB921HB119. The machine operates normally till it reaches what I believe is the final rince cycle and stops. The timer continues to advance, reaching the drying cycle...

Is this machine new to you or have you had it long enough to see it work properly?

If it used to work as it should then you know that there is probably a problem other than your water or soap. If you have whopping lime in your water then the problem could be in a water treatment system (softener, RO system, etc) Is there a screen and is it not plugged when you clean it? Does the machine drain the wash water properly? Does it spray in the rinse cycle?

If the screen is not plugged then it should be able to drain the wash water. If it's draining the wash water then you should get a good rinse if you're not using too much soap. If it's not draining the wash or spraying the rinse then I'd suspect the timer. If it's not draining I'd suspect a plugged screen, a solenoid valve or the timer. If it's not spraying the rinse then it's just about got to be the timer.

Dishwasher soap still in door after wash cycle, so dishes are not very clean. Soap dispenser cover is sprung open but soap (on both sides, wash and prewash) is still mostly where it was poured, only now...

Check for the right amount of water in tub. In this unit close to the lip of the tub after fill. If water fill is correct check movement of lower spray arm. Other possibilities delayed action of dispenser from defective wax motor. Most probable is wash motor. Start unit after fill and when was starts, open door and see if water is being pushed to the top rack and dripping from the top of tub. Motor is easy to install.

Water will not fill during rinse cycle water just keeps runningg?

That is quite normal. When the rince cycle is on, it sprays water into the tub while spinning. In that way, it removes small traces of residule soap still on the clothes.Of course it should stop once the spin cycle is finnished.

Check to see if power is getting to the motor. If it is then you have a bad motor. Is the motor making a noise? Some of that broken plastic could have got down into the pump and have it locked up.

Dishes don't get clean. soap still on inside of door. . . water coming up to fill line and hot enough and dishwasher drains after cycle, spray arms are clear. . . help!

Water from the wash arms must be able to reach the detergent cup during the wash. It sounds as though the machine may be over-loaded during the wash and water does not cause the detergent to mix with the wash tank water. Try washing a cycle with nothing in the machine. Does the detergent still stick to the door?
If no, the machine is overloaded. Wash fewer items or smaller items so spray will contact detergent.
If yes, you have probably lost wash pressure. Clean all screens and jets.
Hope this helps,
Kermit

Wash cycle

Check first that the filter located inside the machine (on bottom) is clean. In case it clean - The problem is with the pump. It could be a blockage between pump and the tub, or just a defective pump (The pump takes suction from the tub and forces water up through the spray arms, which spray the dishes. The water then simply drops back into the tub for recirculation). Good luck !!
