Hi Jeff,

The question you ask, is the question many others have asked, and there is very little info available to solve the issue.

If you have the user manual for your radio, go through the trouble-shooting process, to see if that will help.

If you don't have the user manual, then someone who does can post a link on this site for you to download same.

I hope I have been of some assistance.

Best regards,
Peter

I have a midland 2 way radio trying to transmit and receive without static

If a handheld radios check your battery and/or antenna. Trade with a known good unit to see if the problem is solved with either. A poor battery can often cause static.

If a mobile radio, check your antenna connections and your antenna and coil. This could be a sign of a poor antenna or antenna set-up.

Best regards.

Midland lxt320 making static noise

Hi David,

Not being familiar with the Midland brand, I personally can't give advice for for your query, but there is a solution!!!

Please join (FREE) yahoo group SPECIFIC to your radio Make/Model, I believe a group has started for this make of radio, so they are the people with the expertise and info to assist you, you can find free downloads for manuals, diagrams and software as well for your radio.

I do hope this leads to a resolution to the problem.

Warm Regards,
Peter

Need to tune and peak my midland 1000 cb

sounds like a problem to me . I have one that was in fair shape that had the same symptoms , I pounded the crop out of it with a hammer and now it doesn't recieve anything . You can't find a service manual for it ,unless midland will sell you one but don't hold your breath . Remember a 26 oz. hammer works good but not the radio.
