It should have come with the install disk. Try this there is a download drivers option at the bottom of the screen. http://www.dsl-warehouse.com/product_info.php?products_id=181

I would like to password protect my internet connections using my westell versalink model 327w wireless router

You can set these by accessing the web configuration page of your router. It is usually an IP address (192.168.1.1 or along these lines) or it could be an URL (such as myversalink.net).
Once in the page all your settings can be changed.

Hope this helps.

I have charter internet with a modem and i have a westell 327w wireless router/modem. How can i connect the two modems to work wirelessly?

I think the Westell Router/modem that you have must be the modem for the DSL connection.
Charter is a cable internet service provider.
You can not use 2 modems connected to each other.
You have a charter modem , you can purchase a wireless router only.
That will work.

Westell versalink 327w from bellsouth can't connect

Howdy,

I do not think this modem will work for you. Contact O.T.C. to be sure. For a few details...

I presume that you can access your Westell wireless modem/router 327w with the IP address of - 192.168.1.254. (Or you can simply type "launchmodem" in the address bar - (one word - no quotes)) This will definitely get you in. You will then see the setup menu. If you see the Bellsouth FastAccess Internet Service logo then you know you definitely have a Bellsouth modem.

Now, let's presume, you are using a Westell wireless modem/router 327w made for Bellsouth/ATT. If this is the case, as stated above, you will see the Bellsouth Logo on the setup page. Additionally, it is stated on the page below, that you cannot use a Bellsouth modem/router for any other ISP (Internet Service Provider) This is due to the Bellsouth/ATT firmware that Westell builds into this modem/router.

This is the page link:
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/bellsouth/3.141_Westell_327W__wireless__Info#13772

This is the relevant quote:
"The BellSouth supplied 327W (model C90-327W30-06) is made exclusively for BellSouth FastAccess. They are functionally different from retail Westells (or any model designed for use with other ISPs) and the firmware between them are not compatible and can not be interchanged."

That being said, you still might attempt to use this 327W with orlando telephone company but I do not know if it will work. (Doubtful...) I use the Bellsouth 327W and it is GREAT. (With Bsouth/ATT) Good luck.

P.S. - Please be advised that Westell does manufacture an identical 327W that does NOT have the Bellsouth/ATT firmware.installed. This is the "generic" version I suppose but I have no experience with this one. If you need more just ask. :)

Good luck,

J

HAVE A 327W HOW DO GET IT TURN ON WARELESS

Check the IP of the modem, follow this steps: If you are using a Windows OS.
1. Click Start then select Run
2. On the Run box type in "cmd" then press Enter
3. It will launch a DOS window
4. On the command prompt where the blinking line is type in IPCONFIG the press enter.
5. get the Default Gateway

Access the modem's GUI by following this steps and configuring the Wireless (the gui would depend where your modem came from but the steps should be at least close to this)
1. Open Internet Explorer or any browser that you have
2. Go to the Address bar and type in the Default Gateway
3. On the login screen type your UN and PW that was set for the 327W
4. Once you are on the modems GUI and look for the wireless tab.
5. Click on the Wireless tab and it should indicate if the Wireless is Enable or Not.
* If it is disable locate for the Configure Button. There is an option to Enable the wireless connection.

Set to work with centurytel instead of bell south

Howdy - You may have a two fold problem here. First of all the Westell wireless modem/router 327w has the access IP address of - 192.168.1.254. (Or you can simply type "launchmodem" in the address bar - (one word - no quotes)) This will definitely get you in. You will then see the setup menu. That problem solved...

Westell model 327w router

if this is the first time you're trying to connect your laptop with the gateway, if this is a windows operating system, you have to go to your wireless zero configuration so that windows can automatically configure the wireless connection of your laptop. you cann see that by clicking on start, and then run, and then type in the box services.msc, and then search for wireless zero configuration click on start if the service has not yet started. if this doesn't work check your built in wireless adapter, uninstall and reinstall it. try to access your westell by typing in 192.168.1.1 in the internet explorer address bar. the default username and password for that is admin and password. you can configure the wireless settings in the modem by going here. the WEP key for your wireless connection can be found below your westell modem/router. if i'm not mistaken this is the westell 327 versalink right? you can also find out if your laptop is connected to your modem by checking your computer's ip address. it should be 192.168.1.xx. if it's like this, your laptop is connected to your 327w. if it's a 169.xxxx ip address, you're not connected to the modem. the best way to configure your laptop and modem wirelessly is to configure it while you're connected using an ethernet cable.
