Are you re-stringing the element? if so you need to make sure you have no gaps in the element.

First thing I would do is to take the drum out of the dryer and make sure the back is not all clogged up with lint. That is a very common problem with Frigdaire dryers. The back is where the dryer draws the heat from and it sounds like you have plenty of heat. The only place the heat will go is up and that may be why you are geting burn marks. I wold also clean out the front where the lit filter is that to gets blocked up. I think if you check all that ad clean it out good the dryer should work just fine.

WITHOUT THE MODEL NUMBER THIS WILL BE AN EDUCATED GUESS PRY THE TOP UP AT THE EDGES IN FRONT BETWEEN THE TOP AND FRONT PANEL. THEN INSIDE THE FRONT PANEL WILL BE 2 SCREWS HOLDING THE FRONT TO THE CABINET THEY MAY BE 3-4 INCHES DOWN ON BOTH SIDES UNDO DOOR SWITCH WIRES AND RAISE UP FRONT AND REMOVE. NEXT REMOVE THE THREE SCREWS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRUM ON THE INSIDE. UNDO BELT OF COURSE AND REMEMBER HOW IT IS ON. AFTER 3 SCREW REMOVAL PULL DRUM OUT AND THERE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE HEAT ELEMENT. WHEN INSTALLING NEW ONE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER IT MATTERS. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

Hello - Since you have previously replaced the control board and confirmed that the high temp sensor is working fine, unit may possibly have a defective sensor, heating element, power supply or a communication problem with the control board. I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The technician usually warranties their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem.
