When you first setup your Canon printer with the CD to work with your computer, it will install a program called "MP Navigator". This program works in conjunction with the printer to scan and save your documents. If you haven't already setup your Canon printer to use this program, try downloading it through the Canon USA website. Good luck.

How do i scan a document from kodak esp3 from printer to my computer

Click on the kodak aio icon or program file. From there you can choose to scan if your button is not working. Also most OS will have listed in the control panel a link for devices and printers. Depending on your OS you should be able to click on your printer and then choose to scan a file from there as well!

My scanner wont scan

By reading your text, I think it might be the changes in software and driver interface. When you press scan , it shown options such as microsoft word , Email and other , so that you can choose directly to scan in such program.
At least, that what I think , So scroll down the program list and look for some image program to scan.
Another way to test your scanner to see whether it is working with window or not is to test it in native Window scanning program. Go to Start up, all programs , accessories and choose camera and scanner wizard.
And then, follow the step by step instruction written in the program. Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

Hi I have an HP Office jet all inone Printer, scanner, and fax machine. I don't know how to set up the function to scan, can you please tell me how?

To scan from the computer, you can launch the full software HP Solution Center (if available for your OS) or any other product that can acquire scans. (Paint in XP, Vista or Win7, Windows Fax and Scan in Vista or Win 7, third-party software) The HP Solution Center can be started by double-clicking on its desktop icon or Start > All Programs > HP folder > HP Solution Center. Make sure you have the most recent version or have the program patched if you have problems scanning from the software.

Place your document face down on the glass or face up in an ADF. Press Scan Picture or Scan Document button. Use the preview option to find the correct contrast and resolution for the original. Generally text can be scanned at a low resolution (300 dpi). The higher you set the resolution, the more memory and space it will take. Cancel and press Settings to adjust these. Press OK to save the settings When satisfied, press the appropriate Scan button again and choose the destination and file type. Then press Scan. will let you download the software/drivers if needed.

To use the scan buttons on the unit, you need the full software installed and the monitoring program running (it listens for button presses). First you need to set the destinations for the buttons in the HP Solution Center. The set-up for this is best explained in the Help files in the Solution Center. (You may be creating shortcuts or a list of destinations.). Then when you press the scan buttons the Solution Center will open and follow the pre-programmed settings for your current document.

I hope this helps.

I have hewlet packard all in one j4680 I can copy, print & fax. I want to know how to scan and put on the computer

You first need to have the HP software that came with the printer installed, and the most up to date drivers will also help make sure there aren't any compatibility issues.
Once you have that set up, on the control panel on the printer itself press the arrow buttons until you have Scan selected. Press OK. Press the RIGHT arrow to choose what you'd like to do with the scan when it's finished and press OK. Then press the START button.
You can also start a scan from within the program provided by HP with the printer, and many graphics editing programs and word processing programs (such as Word) have a Scan button. Sometimes referred to as an Inport from TWAIN Device or Scan from TWAIN Device. Simply clicking on one of those buttons usually starts the needed program to control the scan from on the computer, instead of using the buttons on the printer itself. (NOTE: The TWAIN device options are sometimes inside the Edit menu of some programs, so you may need to look for it a little.)

My Canon MP510 scanner won't scan - the printer works fine, but I can't get it to scan. It used to work just fine.

Try using your scanner from your computer, I'm using windows XP and when i go to My Computer and the printer is connected i see a section that says Scanner and Cameras, your printer should be there, click on it and follow the easy step to scan a document.
