Check Cartridge in Right Stall keeps flashing

Even after installing new genuine HP cartridges (56 & 57) in both stalls all four green light keep blinking and the errorr message "Remove and check cartridge in right stall" keeps popping up.
I have repeatedly tried even different (previously installed) cartridges and that doesn't help. I cleaned the contacts with alcohol, still no go.
I really like this printer and want to keep it goiing.

Hope you can help.

Make sure that the catridges are inserted in the right slots and they are compatible with the Printer..... If they are Remove the Catridges and clean the copper contact on the catridges with a dry paper towel.... Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer...... Insert both the cartridges and see whether u get the same error again...... If u get the same error message there should be something wrong with the Printer itself because u already tried to Replace Catridges...... Good Luck..........

Welcome to Fixya

This means the the printer cannot determine which cartridge is causing the error. Make sure that you are using original HP cartridges.

Please see troubleshooting procedure below:
  1. Remove the color cartridge from the left stall (which has a blue latch) and refasten the latch. Leave the other cartridge in place.
  2. Close the printer, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then look at the LCD display.
    • If the LCD display reads Insert Color Cartridge in Left Stall , the color cartridge may be causing the problem. Follow the steps below:
      1. Clean the color cartridge contacts. Click here to see how.
      2. Reinsert the color cartridge into the carriage and close the blue latch.
      3. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
      4. If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the color cartridge.
    • If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , follow the steps below:
      1. Reinsert the color cartridge.
      2. Remove the black or photo cartridge, depending on which one is installed in the right stall. The right stall has the gray latch. Be sure to refasten the latch on the empty stall.
      3. Clean the black or photo cartridge contacts.
      4. Reinsert the black or photo cartridge.
      5. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
      6. If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the black or photo cartridge.
  3. If replacing cartridges fails to correct the problem, click the link at the top of this page to contact HP.

Make sure that they are new cartridges.
Also make sure, that you took off the strip off where the ink come out.

My printer keeps saying that the print cartridge in the right stall not supported

Are you using genuine HP inks or generic (3rd party compatible) or refilled cartridges? Most of the newer printers have sensors that detect 3rd party or refilled cartridges. Check this first.

If you are using original cartridges, try removing and reseating the cartridge. IF that still does not work, remove the power cable for about a minute and then replug.

Let me know how it goes..

I have a hewlett packard photosmart 2575 all in one printer and after installing ink cartridges the warning light keeps flashing and the display says that the ink cartridge in the right stall is not...

Reset the Printer after power off and then replug it and run pc again.

Check also after reinstall of cartridge, take out the cartridge and clean its nozzle and contact with a clean cotton. Check for all cover firmly closed..

Let me know the further status so I can fix the problem

Flashing light and a message !

Hello patelmafat,
HP recommends to use genuine cartridges (not even refilled ones) to be able to print at desired quality. As you are using refilled cartridges, you may not be able to print in good quality and may sometimes, errors like you are facing right now, creep up. So , I would suggest you to get new genuine HP cartridges to avoid such issues. If you are facing the same issue even after you install new cartridges, please let update us so that we may proceed further.

thank you.

Print cartridge in right stall not supported

Are these genuine HP ink. If not try using Original ink.
If its already the original ink then check the Exp date of the ink and try cleaning the copper contacts of the ink ( not the nozzles ) of the ink and the printer
All the best

Print cartridge in right stall not supported.

As a refiller, I've seen this many times. Usually it happens in the multifunction machines. If you put that cartridge in a stand alone printer, it will work good. HP all in ones blow a resistor in the cartridge making it useless to any all in one machine. Sadly, it is time to buy new.
