I have the same problem. I have to turn the phone on while it is still on the charger and leave the power on. As soon as I power it off or unplug from charger, phone is dead. This is the 2nd Motorola W376g phone that I have had this problem with, last week, I bought the 1st one from Walmart, had this problem and took it back and exchanged it. Now I am having the same problem with the 2nd phone.

MotorolaMy tracfone stopped functioning.I charged it but it won't work.

Is it powered on? How do you know it is fully charged if it is black and you can't see anything? Tracfone handles the warranty so it is best to contact them.

Does it show life of being charged when you plug it in? If so, then it sounds like its time for a new battery. If the phone does not show charging occurring when plugged in, then I would look into seeing if the cord is damaged. Plus the phones charging port could be damaged and not allowing the power to pass through it. Hope this helps!!

Charging problem

It will.. it just is slow. Just leave it plugged in for about 12 hours and it will eventually say that it is fully charged..

Phone dead

Here's something quick to try:

Have the battery tested to see if it holds a charge (This can easily be done by using an inexpensive multimeter). Place the multimeter leads on the battery terminals (red on plus, black on minus sign). Set the multimeter to DC voltage, 0-12 VDC. Let the phone charge for 4-6 hours with the battery in. Unplug the phone & take out the battery. Test the battery as explained above - if it isn't holding a charge...then the battery's probably bad (purchase another battery).

It sounds like your're stating that the phone works only when you plug it in, so I'm assuming that the power adapter and the plug recepticle are in working order - otherwise, the phone wouldn't work.
