Question about Pioneer Deh-3400ub Car Cd/mp3/wma Player; Ipod Control, Front Aux-in

Open Question

Pioneer DEH-3400UB radio has no sound.

It receives radio signals because it displays what songs are playing on the current station, but no sound comes through the car's speakers. I tested to see if it was just my installation by plugging earphones into the front jack but there was still no sound. I then plugged in an ipod, and it displayed the first song was playing but I still got no sound from either my car or headphones.

SOURCE: XM 2 GO Not Playing

I had the same problem. I had to reset (use a paper clip into the RESET hole under the battery cover ( or pull out the battery for a a couple of minutes). Then, after recording some songs, I switched over MYXM and then began rotating the channel selector dial. The volume indicator arrow moved off zero and began advancing up the volume scale. I kept doing it until it about half way and my sound was back.

Does your car have a Factory amp if so u need to find the blue wire ( on most cars) and either ground it out or and power to it, it should turn the speakers on for you to play

Connecting XM radio to my unit.

You have to tell your XM radio receiver what station to send the FM signal then you tune your radio to that station. Thats how my model worked when i used it.

HI. search pioneer no sound on this board. i have already walked another guy through this... if everythng works but no sound is outputted.. 99 times out of 100 the audio output ic "chip" is bad. Its a common failure for pioneer cd players as well as others. The part is about $20 if you know where to look... if you decide to repair this yourself you will need to be very skilled with solder and desoldering braid... let me know
