Question about Heating & Cooling
This item is only two weeks old. It used to run the second time for about thirty seconds before shutting down and the light would not blink, so, a few minutes aftet that it would run again for antoher thirty seconds, and continue doing this through the night, but now It runs once properly until set temperature is reached, then shuts off, and on restart (about 5 minutes later) will run 18 seconds then shut off, light above thermostat blinks and heater will not reset itself. Power must be shut off and back on.

The sensor for the thermostat is probably going bad or has bad connections. It is (or thinks it is) heating up fast and therefore shuts of the heater.

There is a little switch on the circuit board. Look closely at the wiring diagram and it will indicate which switch to adjust. If not, review the operating manual for details.

first off buy yourself a honeywell stat, in my personal opinion lux stats are garbage, I have run into so many that are bad stats !!! but as far as your fan not shuting down, sounds to me like your fan center on your circuit board is bad and will not shut down the fan when needed, you will have to replace the circuit board, as the fan center is a part of the whole of the circuit board, hope that helps

the reason he told you not to cycle the power is because some where there is a flashing light that he can decode and tell him where to start looking for the problem. Call him next it happens and don't touch the power or the stat until he gets to see the unit.
