Question about Ariens 34 In. Zoom Series Riding Mower
I have an older Ariens snowblower that started running fine this season, then started to sputter out and die. If you start it it runs fine but when you try and engage the auger it dies. Any suggestions?
it is possible the engine is starving for fuel, so essentially it is a carburetor problem with fuel mixture.
Check and see if your carburetor has mixture adjustment needles, there may be an adjustment possible to fix this problem.
Also, sometimes a tiny vent hole in the carb caseing gets clogged causing the engine to run rough or stall.
Does your engine seem to run better if you close the Choke ?
Hope this helps you.
