Our Carrier Comfort Series Thermostat Model A07051 is blinking heat/on @ bottom right corner. Why??

Our thermostat was blinking heat/on on the bottom right corner. Something we haven't seen it ever do. I can't find the manual, so can you please tell me what this means? We have it programed.

Remove all power from the furnace, it is likely the brain in the furnace is need of being reset, from the battery replacement, why did you change the battery, was there an indicator telling you to change it?

Many times just removing all the power to the furnace will do the trick with a reset, if not let me know and we will go from there, but it sounds like the main brain is confused or bad, more likely confused, so try the power removed first.

Than let me know [email protected]

SOURCE: RUUD (Protech Model 500) Thermostat Single Stage Not Programable

problem is not the thermostat, thermostat is an on-off switch that happens to work on temperature. Your furnace is locking out. cycling the heat off switch resets the micro-processor in the furnace. You need to diagnose the problem in the furnace, to go further we will need the model and approximate age of the unit

SOURCE: My Heat will not work

the e2 code on a carrier comfort zone thermostat is indicitive of the external safety sensors which are located on your units ductwork in the attic. the e2 code are the hpt/ and lat sensor codes. the hpt is the heat pump temperature sensor and the lat is the leaving air temperature sensor. you can pull off the cover of the panel and behind it will actually give you all the fault codes associated with you carrier tsat.each sensor has a certain ohm rating and if its out of the range it will fail. now as to the reasons for failure, the indoor coil could be dirty, filters dirty, refrigerant charge incorrect.

SOURCE: Carrier Comfort Zone 2 flashing E2

the e2 error on your thermostat is a problem with the return temp sensor on your system, the only thing you can really do is call a company and replace it, you can't bypass it or remove it cause the system wont run properly

I took the faceplate off the Honeywell unit to replace the batteries. How do I get the unit back together?

Do you have a model # of your thermostat? Most of the thermostats come off their sub base by pulling the bottom corners out and then the tops have hooks that you need to lift the body of the thermostat up. So re-installing would be to hold the bottom off the thermostat out more than the top until the top engages with the hooks, then the bottom left and right corners snap in

Carrier Infinity Control Thermostat SYSTXCCUID01-B

Your old stat is wired for a traditional thermostat and not a communication stat like the new infinity you have. There is a module plug on the furnace board that will need to be connected to the new thermostat for it to work. The wires that are wired now are from a terminal strip inside the furnace. Please contact your local Carrier dealer. They may be able to get that harness for you
