Need more info to assist you with the issue. Does the tv work except the volume turns down by itself even with the batteries removed from the remote? If so its either the Tact switch for the vol down has an issue or the main board has an issue. If the remote wont work the tv properly either or not at all too then i would say the main board is causing both conditions. If you require further assistance please let me know.

SOURCE: my samsung le32r74bdx remote control wont change

You can verify that the remote is working. Get a digital camera with a LCD display.
Aim the remote at the camera lens and press the volume and channel buttons. If you do not see
a flash through the camera the remote is bad or the batteries are dead.
If you know someone with any samsung hdtv remote, you can borrow it and try the volume/channel
to see if the tv remote receiver is good.

SOURCE: I have a 32 inch Samsung LCD TV. For some

Warning! Pull out the cord first!!! Open the TV take the tester and check over the mini board with the buttons, there might be the Vol- button in shortcut, or get some water. If its short, must replace, if there are water/ liquid/ oxyds traces, take a toothbrush, put a little of alcohol, and gently clean the place, after that dry it with a hairdryer.

Volume will not turn up and will automatclly turn it self down when tv is turned on the volume bar is also pink

Take the battery/s out of the remote and operate the TV manually, if this works then its the remote itself causing the problem. Sometimes the buttons get stuck down and you need `flick` them with yor finger nail to release them. If the remote is quite well used then it needs taking apart and cleaning the contacts with a cotton bud and a non solvent cleaning fluid, this takes about 20 mins.
Also to test if the remote is transmitting, face the remote at a digital camera, if you can see a light or flickering in the viewer then you know its working everytime you press a button. If its flickering without touching it, at least one button is stuck down.

Volume turns down by itself until it says VOLMIN

I have a Samsung home theater system model HT-D6730W. I have had some issues with the volume turning itself down till it says volmin. I've seen that I'm not the only one with this issue!!!! I have tried all the suggestions that were posted. Doing a hard reset, changing settings, I bought a cooling pad for laptops Hopi g those would fix it. I called Samsung support Which was a joke!!! I took the putter cover off and cleaned all the dust from the unit, removed batteries from remote, removed all cable connection on the back of the unit other than the HDMI cable going to the tv. Having done all that the unit was still turning its self down. I'm a bit of a tinker and so while the cover was off of the unit, displaying all the delicate stuff inside, I turned on the home theater system and played a movie set the volume to a good listening sound. When it started to turn it self down I remove the wide wire ribbon from the main circuit board going to the touch panel on the front of the unit. Voila!!! Sound quit going down!!!! I unplugged unit and removed front touch panel and cleaned all dust from the inside of it. Put it all back together. Tested. Still doing it. Removed the touch panel again and this time I disconnected the small wire ribbon for the volume touch buttons. Reassembled and tested. NO MORE ISSUES!!! Everything on the front still works other than the volume buttons. You can still change the volume using the remote!!!! I hope this finds everybody that is having this issue with there unit.

See if the minus volume button on the TV is stuck. With the TV off press the various buttons while keeping your ears close to them. Each will produce a distinct click when you press them, confirm if the volume - key also produces the same sound - if not the key is defective or stuck.

there might be something wrong with the tv remote. turn the tv on then make it on a high volume then put the remote in a different room and see if the volume turns down if it doesn't then you have some thing wrong with the remote not the tv.
