Hello Michael Anderson - From what you have described it sounds like the unit has faulty elements or could possibly be experiencing a wiring issue with the EOC. Try resetting the oven by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if it proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose the unit.

Chris, thanks for your input the problem was a thermostat. There is a thermostat with a reset button on the back of the stove. It was that simple. However, I am a little peeved with Electrolux because I called them to ask if there were any reported problems with a thermostat aftert the self cleaning function was finished. They told me no. They lied to me because Electrolux has issued a fix to the problem that the Sears repairman referenced!

I used the self clean feature & now oven does not heat

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
From my understanding your used the self-clean feature on your Electrolux oven and now it is not heating. This could be an issue with your control panel or thermostat. You may need to perform a reset on your range and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes. If that does not help to alleviate your current issue with the range I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional technician for repairs. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

When I program for a self clean cycle the door lock icon doesn't come up. I can start the cycle but it doesn't heat up, just counts down the time.

Good Morning Gerry, thank you for your inquiry!

I see that your Electrolux oven door will not lock when you attempt to program your self-clean feature. This could be an issue with your door latch or control panel. In order to accurately locate the part needed for the repair of your oven you need to disassemble your oven and test each component. This is not a simple DIY job and I would suggest contacting a technician for proper repairs. They will have the appropriate tools needed for repair. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Hello - Sounds like the element or the control board to the element is not communicating correctly. I would have a professional diagnose the element first. You may only need to replace it. Otherwise it could be the control board not allowing the element to heat up properly, a faulty mechanical thermostat or an oven sensor.
