Turn on the computer. Press the left "Ctrl" key. When the start-up menu appears, select "Safe Mode" and press "Enter." Once the computer enters safe mode, click the Windows "Start" button. Go to "Settings" and open "Control Panel."

Double-click the "System" icon. Choose the "Device Manager" tab. Press the "+" next to "Display Adapters" to view installed display adapters. Highlight the adapter listed and click "Remove" then "OK." Close all open windows and restart the computer.

Press the "F1" key at the blue HP screen. Enter set-up and press "F5" and "Enter" to reset all data. Press "F10" to save and exit.

Right-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. Select "Properties" from the menu. Click the "Hardware" tab, then the "Device Manager" button. Expand "Display Adapters" and right-click the graphics card. Select "Update Driver" from the menu.

Choose "No," and hit "Next," then select "Install From a List." Select the option to show all hardware. Choose "Standard Display Types." Select "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)" and hit "Next." Don't restart the computer.

Click the Windows "Start" button. Go to "Settings" and open "Control Panel." Click "Add/Remove Programs." Remove any i810 and i815 chipset programs. Restart the computer. After it starts up, go into the "Display Adapters" section in "Device Manager."

Open the "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)." In the properties window, un-check the box "Exists in All Hardware Profiles." Click "OK" and shut down the computer. Open the computer case. Install the new video card according to the manufacturer's directions

EVERYTIME I TRY TO START MY TOSHIBA LAPTOP UP,I JUST JKEEP GETTING A MESSAGE SAYING BOOT MGR. I PRESS DEL,ALT AND CTRL BUT THEN THE MESSAGE JUST REPEATS. AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY BACKUP OR RECOVERY DISCS.

Right after you turn on the pc, go into the bios. Usally by hitting f1, f2, or del. just keep hitting those 3 keys as it boots. Once in the bios, find the boot manager option and disable it. hit f10 to save changes and exit and your pc should restart.

Keep hitting escape while starting up. Message will say there is an error and hit F1. Hit F1 and you'll enter bios.

I just had the panel rewired fro f51 now i have f1

F1 is a primary control failure. When I get my F1 I hit pause/clear and then start - it usally begins its cylce then bumps back to F1. If I do this about 3-7 time it will clear. Then on rinse we go again. Some days I have a 3-F1 restart and somedays it is a 7-F1 restart. Just depends on the day. No rhyme or reason. I know I have to replace the main circuit board but $160 + labor is not what I want to do, so I fuss over the F1 and move on.

How to enter into BIOS when trackpoint was broken.

Hi there.
Its something to do with the trackpoint, possibly the cable has become loose.
* If an emergency power down is made by switching the system off during or while an application is open, then immediately switching the system on creates a 8611 error.
* Repeatedly turning power off and back on without properly shutting down or allowing the system to shut itself down.

Solution
Wait at least 6 seconds or longer after shutting down the system or before restarting to correct the 8611 error.
See if that gets rid of the error, if not it could be a loose cable to the trackpoint.

Good luck

Resolution
Enter Bios
Goto Intergrated Peripherals
Goto Onboard I/O setup
Find "Chassis Opened warning"
Set to “Disable”
Press F10 to save and exit changes

Default code F1

if you physically forced door open then started f1, its possible that there is no issue and you can reset it. F1 is a code for water leak... if you can remove the lower drawer from the cabinet, youll find water in the lower tray, youll need to dry up this water in order to have the f1 code stop
