I had this problem, our kenmore dw would leak maybe 1 out of 5 runs. found that the overfill float was so full of crud and calcium that it was weighing it down, and alowing too much water in - thus leaking out the top of the shaft of the float.
You must unlatch the float below the dw, very difficult, try a mirror, you also must remove the micro switch attached to the bottom of the float first. This fixed the problem!

No it isn't draining properly. You need to clean out the debris mesh at the bottom of the tub under the dryer bar this will usually fix this problem. Good luck.

Door is leaking

The first thing I would check is the overfill protection float. Check under the float for objects that may keep the protector from moving up or down.

Check the door gasket for uniform seating. Align it. If this does not solve the problem, contact the service provider. He may change the gasket or do the corrective action.

KitchenAid KUDM25SH sprays water from under door at start up

Make sure the area where the door and bottom of the dishwasher meet there is not a buildup of debris. Inspect the dishwasher's gasket and make sure it's intact. It is pretty common to need to replace these. Finally, unscrew the little service door on the bottom of the machine and stand back and watch it for an entire first cycle. It might be squirting out of a slightly cracked pump housing that only leaks when subjected to the stress of startup, the water valve could be leaking when it opens to fill machine, or something else could be leaking. Make sure the wash arms are not damaged, are rotating freely, and don't have anything stuck in the jet holes.

When washing dishes, the dishwasher starts leaking water through the base of the door.

The leaking could be caused by a couple of things. First check to see that the lower door edge and cabinet seals are intact and haven't been moved out of position, etc. (some DW's only have one seal, others have two) - can't be exact without model numbers, etc.)

Also check the water level switch, normally in the left front corner inside the wash tub. It is usually under a cover that is either held in place by a plastic clip or a small 1/4" screw holding it to the tub bottom.

Remove the cover and clean the float underneath, it's possible that it's gotten gunked up over the years and is sticking or has a buildup inside it that is causing it to not float properly, hence it'll allow for overfilling of the wash tub.

Put it back together and run a short rinse cycle to see if that has resolved the leaking. If not, it could be the float switch has moved out of position, but that is not a typical problem unless the DW has been removed recently and got damaged, etc.

Hope this helps resolve your problem! Best Regards!

Clog - water leaking out of front bottom

Remove the lower spray arms and the filter assembly beneath it. Rinse out everything you remove in the sink as needed.
With a flashlight, inspect the sump area down there and remove anything lodged in the drain area. Reassemble and run a short load, watching it closely for leaks from the front.
If problems persist, there are two possible problems:
a.) The float or float microswitch is not working properly.
b) the hot water inlet valve (selonoid valve) is opening but not always closing properly.
Post back here is you are looking for more specific guidance.

Kenmore Elite Dishwasher - leaks from Overfill Protection Float

I had the same problem, but mine leaked every time. I have a kenmore ultra wash dishwasher no. 665.15762. I took the bottom rotating sprayer off and found that the plastic piece under the sprayer had a few loose screws and the rubber gasket, under that piece, had blown out at the corner facing the overfill protection float. I took out all the screws and re-mounted the gasket in place and put all the screws back and tightened them. It solved the problem. I hope that this helps others.
