Need to replace present microwave with compatible one (ACO18490A)

I need to totally replace the above model (which seems to be hard to find these days), with a compatible one, especially in size as it will fill the same space above the range.

Tappan microwave vent motor and cooktop lights not working

see this test . God bless youThis microwave oven repair is only for over the range(OTR) models. First, with microwave still installed, gain access to the control board and check for voltage from the fan relay. If you are not getting voltage from the fan relay on the control board, and your display says fan is on, then you need a new control board.
Again, this microwave oven repair is for OTR models. If you know your light bulbs are good and your display is telling you that they should be on, check the light relay on your control board. If no voltage is found at that relay, then replace the control board. Otherwise your problem is in the light socket, wiring, or wire connectors. You can get to all of that by unscrewing 6-8 screws under the unit and taking the bottom panel off.If voltage is present and the wiring that you can see looks good, then you will have to take the unit down and test for voltage at the fan itself. If the voltage is present there, then test the motor itself and/or start capacitor for the motor. The fan motor assembly will slide out of the top of the unit after you take it down and unscrew 2 screws. Below, in the list of component testing, you will see how to test the motor and start capacitor. get the part from

Hello, I have a Panasonic MMT573SBBPQ microwave oven. 1. The turntable table stopped working. 2 Tested motor all OK 3. Noticed bulb had blown - replaced this (as was on same circuit as motor) 4. result :...

Check the door switch and once the door is shut the board must be active. If there is no clock or display then the processor board is faulty. Also if there is no action from the touch pad then it must be checked. Since the turntable works as you start the processor seems to work but the output to the magnetron is not active. So you need to check the relay to the magnetron switching, check the temperature cut off unit and the main capacitor.
All the above seems to be suspected.
Attempt with care/caution as there is high voltage present.

Sounds like a problem in the high voltage side. Need to check the diode and if good the voltage at the magnetron. Should be 3.5 volts across mag and 4500 dc volts at mag. If you do not have a meter to check replace both mag and diode aprox $150.00 from GE. Pat

Shelf support burned off

The shelf supports will need to be replaced. It's best to replace them all. You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your model number here: Before you install the new supports, you should clean the cavity squeaky clean in those areas where they mount. If any paint is chipped or charred, it should be sanded bare, then fresh high-temperature appliance paint should be added. That can be had from home improvement stores, or Wal-Mart, etc.
