Question about Dell Dimension 2400 PC Desktop
Monitor suddenly and randomly goes blank and front panel power light and abcd lights turn yellow
Does the monitor go out completely, no power? Or just lose a signal? Check ALL cables, AC and Monitor cables. Could be a Graphics adapter issue or Monitor , try another monitor.Your computer has a few miles on it , right? You could buy a PCI Graphics card if the monitor is OK.

Reinstall (remove and reinstall) your USB devices.
Could be memory error. Remove and reinstall your memory modules one at a time.
If not, could be your motherboard.
Hope this helps.

check to see if something on the motherboard is fried, usually the capacitors are the first to go. look for swollen capacitors (the X on the top of the capacitor is not flat, usually leaking something or just swollen). If so, have the motherboard changed, if it's still under warranty, DELL replaces it for you.

try booting up your CPU again, while on its process of booting press F8, then select (something MODE), okay, then when you are at windows environment go to control panel, select display, set your display settings its default or 900 by 600 pixels settings, then if its run okay then change to your desired settings.
