On the right hand side of montior the is a screen

There might be a tool on your computer about that, you can check the utilities programs on your computer by searching in the Program groups of your Start menu and disable it. Your manual may give you some idea how to disable it. If you right click on that pop up window you might see an option to stop it from popping up. If those are not working, press CTL+ALT+DEL and select the task manager, then kill the process with a similar name. But you don't want to kill too much otherwise other applications may be affected too. Hope that helps.

It sounds like you Windows OS is corrupted. You may need to reload. On the sound problem, don't bother with control panel. Try this instead. Click Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Volume control and make sure there are no controls at 0, especially the Wave control.

At firs enter bios and find if really is presented your hard drivers. It may went out. If you are familiar to jumpers find master hard drive (if they are IDE and unpug and try power on if the same problem then try other one unpug and first plug. with this you will learn is any of your hard drive DEAD or not, before plug and unpug power off. Cracks can be heard from Hard drive only or CD rom.

Montiors shut off

if the monitor goes into standbye when you plug it into the computer , it generally means there is NO signal coming from your video adaptor.
Plug the old monitor in , if it works, ide suspect the new monitor(s) are not working correctly.
if it doesnt work , you need to restart the computer in safe mode by repettitively tapping the f8 button as the computer starts, before it says "starting windows".
If you have a signal on your monitor in safe mode, then most likely you have a bad or corrupted video driver and it will need to be updated.
if you have no video in safe mode , you will need to remove the cover and physiclly check that all add-in card power cables and memory chips are squarly seatied in there slots. MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE COMPUTER AND DISCHARGE ANY STAIC BUILDUP IN YOURSELF BY GROUNDING (TOUCHING) SOMETHING METAL BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANYTHING INSIDE THE COMPUTER.

AFTER YOU CHECK THESE THINGS AND TRECONNECT THE POWER AND TRY TO START......POST AGAIN HERE

Wont open msn trys to open two pages at a time

Sounds like a video driver problem. Download the latest  video driver and install. If this in not a new problem sometimes increasing the RAM helps elimenate the slowness problem causing the waves.  Do the following to see which video you computer has since they used two different ones on you model.   START-right click-MY COMPUTER-PROPERTIES-HARDWARE - DEVICE MANAGER- DISPLAY ADAPTER
