Error message: check the line

Hi, I hope somebody could help to solve the puzzle. I have a panasonic cordless phone (Model: KX-TG8061E) and since yesterday it desplays an error message "check the line". I followed the operating instructions on page 43 (i.e. line cord not connected) but the problem is still there. I have rang myself from the mobile and the message I get is "the person you are ringing is on the phone" which is rather odd... By the way, the internet is working so the line can't be faulty. Does anybody know what the problem is? Will be thankfull for any help...

SOURCE: we have had a panasonic

We have this model also, and have exerienced similar problems. Try disconnecting all of the phone lines for that ph number, for a minimum of 30 seconds. Reconnect and the line should be functioning again. It always works for me.

SOURCE: How do I retrieve messages on the Panasonic KX-T7030 phone?

  • Call into your mailbox (usually by dialing intercom 165)
  • Press 4, and 4 again (for "Incomplete call handling")
By default, three options are enabled:
    option #1: leave a message
    options #5: call the operator
option #6: return to top menu
  • Follow the audible prompts to disable options 5 and 6

Here are some other features you may need

  • Make sure your Auto Answer button is lit up, so you can receive intercom announcements, and respond hands-free.
  • Use the Call Forwarding (FWD) to send un-answered calls to another phone or to voicemail
  • Press BGM (or 1 on the touch-tone pad) for background music, if your system is equipped.
  • Use Absent Messages to show text messages on other people's phones when you are away.
  • Use System Call Waiting so your phone will ring even when you're on the phone. Press Intercom and dial 7311 to set it up, or 7310 to cancel.
  • Use Do Not Disturb (DND) when you don't want to receive calls. Press Intercom, press FWD/DND and dial 1 to activate, or 0 to cancel.
  • Press MESSAGE when you call a busy intercom number. This will turn on the MESSAGE light on the other phone, and the other person can tap that button to automatically call you back.
  • If you get a busy signal when you call an intercom number, you can signal the other person by dialing 1 (if that phone is programmed for System Call Waiting (above).
  • Dial 330 to make an announcement to all phones.
  • If you want your phone to automatically select an outside line when you pick up the handset, press PROGRAM, dial 99, dial 12, press STORE, press PROGRAM

SOURCE: "no link to base" error message

Sounds like the antenna is not working, and signal is not getting to the cordless sets.

Try unplugging your base station (unplug everything; power and phone cable - the basestation were all the cords are plugged into) and leave it unplugged, pull out all the batteries in the phones, and then start by putting all the batteries back into the phones.

Once the phones are back and powered up, plug in the base station again, and see if that helps.
All this is doing is re-setting the phones and base station and forcing them to re-link to each other.

    I hope this helps.

I NEED A USER MANUAL FOR PANASONIC PHONE 3/HEADSETS # KXTGE33B. PLEASE HELP.

Could the model be KX-TGE233B? The manual is available on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/cordless-corded-telephones/cordless-telephones/KX-TGE233B.html?supportpage=true . Scroll down or click on the Support tab on the right. The direct link to the manual is currently: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tge210_mul_om.pdf . The manual covers several Panasonic phone models.

Panasonic has no model KX-TGE33. Searching for that model number on http://shop.panasonic.com/support gives a list of several phone models that start with KX-TGE23.

    I hope this helps.

I have panasonic digital cordless answering system model n:KX-TG8061E speakerphone not work

Ball park guess is that something got spilled on the speaker. If you are handy you could replace the speaker yourself with just about any speaker you can find that fits in the space. This could also be the switch that changes it over to speaker phone. If this is the case then you will need to replace the circuit board that controls this. Much easier and cheaper to find a different one at a garage sale. I see them all the time for 1 to 3 dollars.

Cannot recieve call and dail out

sounds like the phone line having a problem.
remove all of the wireless phone and replace with a known good old fashion phone (if you still have one). if the line is good then reattached each wireless one at a time.
if the phone line still will not let you dial out or receive call, then you need to call your local phone company, have them check out the line.
