IF IT WAS LIKE MINE , IT WAS THE P.O.S. THERMO SWITCH. SOME WHERE THERE IS INFO FOR A REPLACEMENT PART AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THIS JUNK SWITCH, I GOT MINE FROM AMAZON. THE OLD SWITCH IS A BLACK SEMI -ROUND UNIT THAT IS BEHIND THE BACK COVER. THE BAD SWITCH IS A WEAK LINK TO THIS UNIT. ITS HELD IN PLACE BY A SCREW ON THE BOTTOM OF THE THERMOSWITCH. JUST REPLACE THE WHOLE DEFECTIVE SWITCH, I DID IT TO MINE AND NOW THE THING WORKS WELL. JUST UNSCREW,UNPLUG, AND ISTALL THE NEW THERMO SWITCH. GOOD LUCK....PS...MAKE SURE THE UNIT IS UNPLUGD!

SOURCE: My comfort zone infrared hearter

Hi. I have the Comfort zone 1500 (cz 1500) and just ran into this AO5 problem. Turns out the thermostat was set lower than the actual room temperature. I just turned up the heater temp and it kicked right on. Hope this helps!

if unit runs ok for 3 to five minutes then completely shuts all power lamps off , then its hi temp limit sensor (safety) has been tripped , this usually goes out due to failure of main temp control , in point of fact contacts in temp switch literally weld them self's together and cant separate to allow heater to control temp

Comfort zone cz2011 why will it not stay running

I had the same problem. It would cut off after approx 30 sec to 1 min. If the power shuts off or screen and lights go off most likely the problem is the thermal cutoff switch comonly called a thermostat. (Be Sure you are getting good air flow also check filter JIC) I found the problem but the parts in the systema are cheap off brand parts. Low quality circuit boards and soldering. The PN on the switch was unknown. Since I didnt know the cutoff temp I called the mfg which did not offer any parts, prints etc. This is an expensive throw away heater is basically the answer I recieved. My unit also had very low use as it is used as a supplimental heat ocassionally. Instead of tossing the unit I looked a little closer at the switch. I found 120 deg C stamped on one of the .25 QC terminals. On the front it is stamped 120/240V 16A. After a search I found the SRL250. It is a 250 deg F 15A 120/240VAC. (120 deg C = 248 deg F). It is 1 amp less which is fine as the 1500W unit should not draw 15 or 16 Amp. I now have the heater running again. You can find this part online or you local appliance parts house should have it. Or Cross ref to another mfg. Hope this helps.
Orig- 120/240VAC 16A 120 deg C (Open on Rise)
New - 120/240VAC 15A 250 deg F (Open on Rise)

I have a Comfort Glow propane heater connected a 20lb tank. The pilot has a hard time staying lite but when I do get it lite ang turn the hearter on low it will shut off in a minute or in some cases 20...

If you have a pilot, you have a thermocouple. I would start with the thermocouple. The thermocouple is supposed to be heated by the piolet and to keep the pilot gas on. If it is faulty, the pilot will quit and the heater will not reignite until you light it again. Good luck...Lee
