Question about Computers & Internet
Have an embroidery program that I cannot get files to open in. Comes up with "Incorrect Parameter" when i try opening the file
You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps. If you don't like the letter Windows has assigned to a new drive or you want to organize your drive letters in a certain way, you can change the drive letter. You can assign the letters C through Z to each drive on your computer. A and B are usually reserved for floppy disk drives, but if your computer does not have floppy disk drives, you can assign A and B to volumes. You can see which drive letters are used on your computer by opening Computer. Open Computer Management by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Computer Management. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation In the Navigation pane, click Disk Management Right-click the partition or drive that you want to change, and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths. Do one of the following To assign a drive letter if one has not already been assigned, click Add, click the letter that you want to use, and then click OK To remove a drive letter, click Remove, and then click Yes to confirm that you want to remove it. You might need to do some diagnostics to find out what is wrong. If you have nothing to lose, format the machine.
or You have to erase the entries from the Registry. Run RegEdit. Source(s): click start type regedit press enter or Use the registry editor and find the key:
F: as in whatever drive you want to change, and then just change F: to G: or If the installation is being run from a network location or if the installation is being run from a directory structure that is several levels deep (resulting in having too many characters in the path name), this error may occur. Follow these steps to fix this error: Copy all the installation files (setup.exe and all other files in the same directory) from the network location or source media (such as the CD) by pressing Ctrl + A or Edit > Select All. Create a folder on your local hard drive (e.g., Desktop) by right-clicking and selecting New > Folder. Paste (Ctrl + V) the installation files into the folder. Double-click setup.exe to run the installation locally. If the scenarios above are not related to or did not resolve this issue, the error might be caused by something specific to your computer. The following general troubleshooting tips might help resolve the issue: Clean the Temp Directory Install ikernel Hope this helps.

Error -6177 means that the file is not accessible at the location QuickBooks is trying to open it.
The reasons for this may be:
1. The network is offline. Make sure that the directory is available or that you're still connected to the network.
2. The file was deleted by someone else available on the network.
3. If you have recently updated Quickbooks from an earlier version, then the cause may be a bug with the product itself. It has been reported by other users that they experience Error 6177 everytime they try to open a previously existing file.

This looks like a problem with and HP printer. Uninstall the printer and reinstall it.
Possibly use a driver only download from the web (all in one drivers sometimes cause problems and have conflicts with other programs.

- Synching with Outlook.
- Error message: 'The parameter is incorrect'.
Generally, this error message indicates that the configuration process has been cancelled at some point. Typically, this happens due to cancelling the setup process on the Outlook Folders tab. If you are on Exchange folder, this tab can take several minutes to populate.
In order to correct the problem you are experiencing, you will need to delete or rename the .ini file and then reconfigure CompanionLink/DoubleLook. This file is typically found in one of two locations:
c:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\CompanionLink\CompanionLink
c:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\CompanionLink\DoubleLook
Please note that Application Data is a hidden folder and that the .ini file extension is hidden by default. Please see http://www.companionlink.com/support/howto/ht0017.html for an explanation of how to display all files.
