There are a couple of good programs that will reboot your administrator password. Look at www.majorgeeks.com and see about a shareware. Don't forget to give that seller appropriate feedback or contact ebay themselves they are pretty uptight about customer service nowadays.

Disk wont spin

The lens assembly is directly associated with a non spinning disk issue.

Here was my situation.

I purchased a used PS2 slim from an ebay seller that had the disk read error. I bought another lens from another ebay seller and when installed it, the disk would not spin. I then replaced the new lens assembly with my old one and the disk started spinning again but I still had the disk read error. I contacted the seller to send me a replacement lens assembly for the defective one I received.

Bottom line is if your lens assembly is bad, the disk will not spin. You can replace the lens assembly for about $4 or $5 on ebay.

This mostly occurs to all slimline PS2 it is a common problem.

I forget username and passowrd in my MAC OS X Version 10.4.11,please findout the solution to restore my username and password.....

Did you lost the administrator password? There is a way to reset it. You will need the install disk in the resetting process. Please make sure you follow the steps accordingly.

From Mac OS knowledgebase:

Resetting the original administrator account password Follow these steps to reset a password when there is only one administrator account on the computer, or if the original administrator account needs a password reset. "Original" administrator account refers to the one that was created immediately after installing Mac OS X. If the original administrator password is known, that administrator account may be used to reset the passwords of other administrator accounts using the steps described above.
  1. Start up from a Mac OS X Install disc (one whose version is closest to the version of Mac OS X installed). Usually, you can start from the disc by putting it in your computer, restarting, and holding the C key. Or, put it in the computer and click the Install or Restore icon you see in the disc's main window (after which the computer will start from the disc without you needing to hold C). Or, you can use Startup Manager or the Startup Disk preference pane to select the Install disc.
  2. Choose a language, click the arrow button to continue, then choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu (or from the Installer menu, if using Mac OS X 10.3.9 or earlier). Tip: If you don't see this menu or menu choice, you're probably not started from the CD yet.

    Note
: The default keyboard layout is U.S. English while started from the installation disc. If you use a keyboard layout other than U.S English, use the Input menu (the flag icon on the right side of the menu bar) to select the desired layout before typing a new password.
  3. Select your Mac OS X hard disk volume.
  4. Select the user name of your original administrator account.

Important: Do not select "System Administrator (root)". This is actually the root user. You should not confuse it with a normal administrator account.

  5. Enter a new password.
  6. Click Save.

If you received an OS X install disk with your used MacBook you can change the administrator password.
1: Boot with the OS X install DVD by restarting the computer with the C key held down. You may release it when the Apple logo appears.
2: When you get to the install menu, select your language
3: Select Reset Password under the utilities menu on the menu bar.
4: When the password pane come up, click on your Hard Drive Icon,
5: Select the original administrator's user name (capitalization counts)
6: Enter a new password for this administrator account (capitalization counts).
7: Re-enter the new password to confirm.
8: WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE!
9: Provide a password hint.
10: Click save.
11: Make sure you reset the home directory permissions and ACLs by clicking the reset button.
12: Reboot your Mac.
If you don't have an install disk, you will have to buy or borrow one.

No password to enter computer

When the login screen comes up and asks for the username and password.
Username - Administraion
there should be no password for that account.
Once into the system go to the control panel and then to user accounts and change what you desire.

XP home hold F8 untill you get to the boot mode and choose Safe Mode once in to the system go to control panel and user accounts and do the same as above.
If this doesnt work please respond with OS.
