Question about Technics RS-TR373 Single Cassette Deck
Hi, My Technics RS-TR373 has decided to chew tapes when playing forwards on deck b. I have cleaned the capstans and its still no better as i first thought the dust on them was causing an imbalance and the tape to crinkle. not so. when playing side b the head spins 180 degrees and plays ok, when it soins back to play side a the problem starts leading me to think the head is not aligned.
am i right in thinking this and can the head be aligned easily?
A lot of tape chewing problems are caused by the capstan roller being worn. Check for wear or oxide on that first.
