Ones the wireless drivers are installed along with all the other drivers and utilities you can get from acer, then you can turn on the wireless with the wireless button on your laptop, now you should have wireless connectivity.
there are 3 or 4 different drivers on the acer website for you system for wireless networking download all of them and try them all one at a time if you do no know which one suites your system. they are labeled as wifi drivers. that would be the easiest route.
Most of the time the problem with the network controller is that you have the wrong driver. The easiest way to get the right driver is to get the make and model off the wireless card, then go driverguide.com and download a driver for the card. You may have to download several before finding the right one. Once you've found the right driver, burn it to a disc for future reference. When downloading the drivers save them to the desktop before installing.
