SOURCE: Chainsaw chain won't move on 16" Homelite bar

Sounds like th clutch brake is engaged. Try Pushing firmly foward on the hand guard in front of the handle. It should click to release the clutch brake.
Let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: Ryobi 18" petrol chainsaw won't start

my guess is that you have a crack or a hole in one of your fuel lines. this is very common in chainsaws and weed eaters because they are used very little and sit for a long time. try checking this and repair if necessary. let me know if this works.

SOURCE: Can't get the chain oiler to work. Using standard bar oil.

You can always put some penentrating oil in the saw oil tube by the bar, spray it in with the plastic straw attatched. Sometimes this will clean things out. As far as the tube being un attatched,,,, taking case apart is usually the remedy - kinda takes a while... :) Hope this helps you, Rick.

I have a moccloch chainsaw, 55 cc. What kind of gas an I suppose to use?

Run lean conditions are almost always caused by an air leak that the operator failed to detect. An oil mixture of 32:1 (most older manuals) will not prevent a run lean condition. It just needlessly pollutes the air, makes for harder starting and carbons up plugs, pistons, and mufflers.

Fuel/Oil Mixture
Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL suppliers recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 1gal premium/4oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH
