Click on : [Click here to Download*] link on that page.

DO NOT click beneath it where it says to "Before downloading the HP Scanjet package, click here to run a free scan for all your outdated drivers." - DO NOT click on this - DO NOT click there.

The HP ScanJet 2200c scanner driver package can be installed on Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 and XP. It installs version 2.0 of the HP PrecisionScan LTX scanning software and driver onto your PC.

  1. Unplug the power cable from the 3200c ScanJet.
  2. Unplug the parallel cable(s) from the 3200c ScanJet.
  3. Shut down the PC and wait for ten seconds.
  4. Plug in the power cable to the 3200c ScanJet.
  5. Plug in the parallel cable(s) to the 3200c ScanJet.
  6. Power your PC on.

Can I scan legal size paper with the Canon MP 240

Hi

You can scan the largest size of paper that will fit on the glass area of the scanner (the platten).

If your legal paper fits in this area or, at least the text printed on it fits well within the borders of platten, then you can scan it.

Your scan will show you a preview of the image scanned so you can see if all the text has been scanned from the original document before you save the scanned image on the computer or copy print it.

Legal Paper Size is: 8.5" x 14" (216mm x 356mm)

A4 Paper Size is: 210mm x 297mm

Letter Paper Size is: (8.5" x 11") 216mm X 279mm

This printer's Scanning Width is: A4/Letter

This printer's Scanning Length is: A4/Letter

I hope this helps.

I'm trying to scan an A4 size sheet(document). I was getting the same size of the scanned sheet, but now its shrinked its size so that I can not getting the same size as in the sheet. Please help me...

Hi

Try the HP software rather than the Scanner itself.

HP Solution Center > Settings > Scan Settings > Scan Document Settings > make sure it is set to Scan Document as Image (no OCR) > Apply > OK.

I hope this helps.

Is it possible to set the scan area on a HP G3010 scanner? For example, set the area to be 8" by 11" ?

I have the same problem with a HP psc 1600. It always scans 8.5 x 11.69. Unless I manually crop each scanned page, the pdf output is put on legal size to accomodate the height greater than 11".

HP 5470c scanner leaves lines on the scanned

This is often caused by dirt or dust on the imaging head. This requires taking the unit apart in a CLEAN area and wiping off the head with lens cleaner and a microfiber lens cloth.

Won't recognize legal size paper

I have a Brother MFC-8840Dn (full legal-size flatbed as well as document feeder). I use Windows XP Pro and a USB connection. I'm not sure my fix works with other Brother models or different Windows operating systems, but it's a way to start troubleshooting at least.

I've always been able to print legal-sized pages from word processing or spreadsheet programs and receive legal-sized faxes. But I never could make legal-sized photocopies or PDF scans. The image was always cut off at Letter size. The fix is a Brother Utility set-up setting:

*** Go to Start / All Programs / Brother / MFL-Pro Suite MFC 8840Dn / Scanner Utility. (This link may also be called something like Scanner Settings.)
*** At the "Maximum Scanning Size", select "Legal" instead of "Letter/A4".
*** Click OK and restart your PC for the new setting to take effect.

It's like magic -- I can now scan a full legal-sized PDF, whether on the flatbed or through the ADF. I also tried a compressed TIFF scan and it came out fine.

**** Make sure your software and/or Brother Control Center scanning configurations are set to Legal if that's what you want for the particular image scan. The Brother Utility setting simply enables the option of choosing the larger legal-sized paper, which then allows the full legal-sized image scan, You always have to set your software to make that choice, just as you would to make and print smaller images on Letter, A4, envelopes, etc. (NOTE: I always start scans through software on my PC, like Adobe Acrobat or PaperPort, and the Utility Setting fix is working fine. However, I just tried pressing the SCAN button on the front panel of the MFC itself with a legal-sized document on the flatbed and through the document feeder. I still got Letter-sized image scans. So, there must be another setting somewhere for starting scans directly from the MFC that I'll locate later.)

I was about to buy a different brand of scanner because of the frustration with legal-sized images. It's like having a new scanner now :) I hope this Utility Setting info helps you troubleshoot your legal-sized image problem.

Hp scan jet 3970 driver or software

you need to download the drivers on another computer and transfer by CD to the cmoputer you are tying to use. It seems that the computer that you are trying to download on is a goverment computer and its policy is not allowing that.
