I have just had the same problem with my Proform 775. The pulley that drives the belt roller has shifted off of the splines. If yours is making a stripping sound this is likely the problem. This is a poor design since the two pulleys (motor and drive roller) do not align properly. I pried the pulley back into place and now it works although the drive belt is now at a slight angle between the pulleys. I am sure the pulley will not remain in alignment for long so I intend to glue it in some manor. I think a good low viscosity thread locker like Locktite 271 might prolong the fix or perhaps liquid super glue. The treadmill is long out of warranty and I have heard online that Proform's support is rather poor. The worst that can happen is I will have to replace the pulley but since a misalignment is the problem (poor quality control) it would likely happen again. By the way, although my unit is about 6 years old, a forced move had it in storage for most of that time. I doubt if the unit has 10 hours of actual use...

The manual said that after lubricating the deck, press Stop and Speed buttons together for 5 minutes and this will reset the lubrication message and the treadmill should work.

There are a couple possibilities.
Remove the motor cover and run the machine.
Check the tension of the motor belt. It may need to be tightened.
Check that the pulley has not broken free from the front roller by stopping the walking belt when the machine is running. If the belt stops, but the motor and pulley keep turning, the pulley has broken free from the front roller.
If this is the case, with a drill and small drill bit, drill a hole through the pulley and roller on the inside edge of the pulley, between the ribs (not where the motor belt travels) and put a screw through the plastic into the metal roller.
Otherwise, change the roller.

There is a motor which spins the treadmill belt. When you start the treadmill, the motor starts running to spin the belt. But if the motor cannot take the load it stops working. In your case, the motor and motor control board is got weak and this is causing the problem. ---------- Or the other possibility is the treadmill belt, the belt on which you step. That belt should be smooth, there is grease in the inner side of belt to keep it lube and run fluently. If that oily grease gets dried up then belt gets bit stiff or jammed up.So get this both possibilities checked.First try lubing the belt internally and then try check the motor and motor control board. To locate motor control board its simple. On the side of motor you will see a electric plug in connector, the other end of that connector gets connected to motor control board.Remove that connector , clean it and reconnect after 5 minutes, then check. In some cases this resets the internal control system and everything, works normally. But its not always possible then removing and reconnecting connector helps. In other cases the motor or control board needs to be replaced. If the motor gets weak, then internal coils in motor gets burned up.----------- You mentioned in your comment that you already tried lubing the belt and it runs smooth without stepping on it, so this clears that motor is got weak and its not taking load. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
