How do I torn off fire wall on my time warner cable ARRIS wifi router

See step 2; it's a matter of just clicking the firewall protection to OFF, from the "set up firewall protection" menu.

Set Up Firewall Protection
You can set up firewall filters and firewall alert notifications on your wireless home network. You
can also block Java Applets, Cookies, ActiveX controls, popup windows, Proxies, and website
access. See Protection Level for more information.
To set the firewall protection level:
1. From any screen, click the Firewall-Protection Level menu link or click the Firewall menu
button on the SBG6782-AC Main Menu and then select Protection Level.
Figure 17 - Firewall Protection Level Screen
2. Click the Firewall Protection Setting drop-down button to select the firewall protection level.
Possible values: Low, Medium, High, or Off
Note: Selecting Off will disable firewall protection on your home network. Your computer(s)
and other Ethernet-enabled devices on your network will be at risk for possible attacks from
viruses and hackers.
3. Select each Web filter that you want to set for the firewall and then click Apply.

MY ALL IN ONE PRINTER WONT PRINT IT SAYS ITS CONNECTED TO MY pc BUT SAYS A FIRE WALL IS BLOCKING DISABLE FIREWALL STILL ZILCH ANY IDEAS

How is it connected? Via a cable (usb) or wirelessly, etc. If it thinks there is a firewall in place, it must assume the printer is on a different network then the PC and it has to be routed. Normally the printer will set itself up using DHCP from your router, if you have DHCP turned of you may have to turn it back on or manually set an IP for the printer in the IP. Refer to the Owners Manual.

I need help a fire wall setting to connection to paltalk

To open Windows Firewall, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Windows Firewall. If you use the Advanced tab to turn off Windows Firewall for one or more individual connections, the Windows Security Center will report that the firewall is off, even though the firewall is still turned on for other connections. Also, on the General tab, Windows Firewall will still be set to On.

Hoped this helped change your settings :)

Try use Yahoo Messenger 9, the latest version. Before download yahoo messenger, make sure firewall allows your connection to download it. It shows that your PC protected from any harmful software because of your firewall. One more thing download your yahoo messenger only for trustful sources websites, it much better. i think you should check your firewall settings. Check also your Windows Firewall. I think there are some problems in your firewall settings. It may be blocked your yahoo messenger from downloading it into your PC. If you use Personal Firewall, make sure it allows your connection to receiving incoming connections and allows you to install yahoo messenger, check it out, may be it blocked your yahoo messenger. Start up will not retain memory for fire wall setting.

Make sure you haven't installed a third-party internet security suite that includes a firewall. You should only use one firewall on your system and some third party firewalls automatically turn the windows firewall off. But your security center should show that you are protected by a firewall, nevertheless.
This behavior can be an indication of malware installed on your computer...
I recommend you go to windows update and make sure you are current with all critical security updates for your system, then go to www.malwarebytes.com and install their AntiMalware software. Scan your system and fix any problems it detects.
Then see if your system retains the firewall settings.
I thought there was a MS knowledge base article on this that had something to do with sp3 and a bug fix but I can;t seem to find it right now...
If I locate it I'll post back with a comment...
In the meantime, if those first two suggestions don't turn anything up, I'd run chkdsk on your system and see if it finds some file corruption.
See this article and this one

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

My fire wall aid it is turned off and I can not fix it

If you are on Windows XP SP2 you already have a firewall built into the security settings of the comptuer. Windows XP could have turned it off because if you have two of them running it can slow your computer down.

Either unistall fire wall aid or turn off the windows firewall in the control panel in Windows XP. If you look in the security section of windows Xp, it will tell you which one is on.
