IBM PC 750 Complex error 175 IBM PC cant continue POST beyond that!

It sounds like the BIOS changes that you made have corrupted the chip. If that is the case then there is nothing that you can do. NO POST means that nothing is able to access the bios and you wont be able to copy th bios image from one chip to another unless you have some very special and expensive equipment for burning eprom chips.

I need motherboard driver and setup spec for VER:5. The board does not boot to BIOS or provide video via AGP or PCI. BIOS chip label stamped BK40 3457 (686 AMIBIOS). I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CONFIGURE THIS...

Simple test: disconnect all disks, remove the BIOS battery for 10 minutes, put it back (this resets everything to default factory settings) then try to boot in the BIOS - if it fails then the motherboard is defective - no BIOS update can fix that.
The board is dead, time for a new pc.

I accidently removed the cmos battery of ibm thinkpad t30. After that error 0271: time and date setting appear then power on password show up. I failed to get into bios to change the time and date setting...

Removing the BIOS battery will not remove the BIOS password because the password is stored on an EEPROM chip. The password can be retrieved with difficulty, it requires you to build an EEPROM chip reader. For instructions to remove this password, please click on this link :-

Bad bios flash, backup gives bad checksum error. downloaded correct ver - still bad checksum. what should I do? AMI bios ver 1.0

Is the mother board working? If so, why are you flashing the bios? If the bios is bad and can not be flashed, you may be able to buy a pre-flashed chip if it uses a removable flash chip. Try this site but you can find others on the Internet.

Need a link (free) to diwnload bios for AOpen MX4SGI-4DN2

I found your BIOS here:

Drill down through the menus starting at Product = Motherboards; Category = MX4SGI-4DN2; MX4SGI-4DN2(P) From here, a page of six (6) downloads were presented - the one below is probably the one you want.

    Error 167

    IBM x40 LAPTOP

go to IBM web site and down load and install all your drivers, try to get any upgrades this will probably fix your problem. make sure you get the chip set drivers for sure, and the last thing you want to try is a bios flash. you could even find the ide drivers. get all that you can.

IBM Mainboard MS6188 on Net Vista IBM PC Systemes ??

Your machine is a Netvista 6280 or similar. Several models used that MSI motherboard. Go to

IBM's latest BIOS and all other 6280 drivers are listed.

The MS6188 motherboard uses an Intel 810 chipset, you should not have any drive size problems, at least up to 30 GB, that could not be overcome by partioning the drive.

    Good luck.
