I was playing splinter cell blacklist on my XBOX 360 S. I saw the four red lights (full ring) on the console's power button. The screen turned blue! I took out the chords and all. Then after about an hour...

What you saw is what is called the Red Ring of Death. Microsoft charges for support in such cases however, most people will just replace the xbox as it is cheaper. You can find out more information on the 4 red rings on the Microsoft website. For the most part, the 4 red rings are based on overheating of your processor. Which means you might need to go and purchase yourself a new xbox. I found this site that might help somewhat, it gives a list of error codes and more information. Hope this will help.

Xbox 360 controllers wont sync when using the rechargable battery packs instead of the 2 AA cell batteries provided with the controllers. Have tried hitting the sync buttons on both the console and...

Opt out the easy way and put a rechargeable battery pack in the controller and use a plug and play controller cord to connect the console to the controller and , voila!, they should be now sync'd to each other.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Controller wont hook up with console ?

Is this a new controller?
Are the batteries new/recharged?

This is the sequence summary on where you are going to focus:
Step 1 - Controller
Step 2 - Console
Step 3 - Console
Step 4 - Controller
Step 5 - Both

Assuming your controller is a wireless version, Lets start!

Step 1 | Press and hold the Xbox Guide button until the controller turns on. The Xbox Guide button is the round button with the green "X" near the center of the controller.

Step 2 | Make sure that your Xbox 360 console is turned on. If your Xbox 360 console is not turned on, press the power button. The power button is the large round button on your Xbox 360 console.

Step 3 | On the Xbox 360 console, press and release the Connect button. The Connect button is the small round button on the Xbox 360 console.

Step 4 | On the controller, press and release the Connect button. The Connect button is the small button on the front edge of the controller, between the left bumper button and the charging port.

Step 5 | After the Ring of Light spins and flashes one time on the controller and on the console, the controller is connected. The quadrant on the Ring of Light that remains lit indicates the position in which the controller is connected.

Light indicator on console
Green light in the center- power is on
Green light on one quadrant - controller is connected
Four green lights rotating on four quadrants - ready to connect with controller

Light indicator on wireless controllers
No lights - no batteries
Green steady light on one quadrant - connected
Blinking green lights - its either its ready to connect or the batteries are dying

*Make sure that you have a fully recharged rechargeable batteries
*Make sure that you have a functioning/new non-rechargeable batteries
*If the steps above aren't working use another Xbox360 controller and follow the same steps.

If the new/working controller is connecting with the console this means that the previous controller is faulty - needs replacement.
If the new/working controller is not connecting with the console this may mean that the console is faulty - needs repair.

*NEVER TAMPER WITH ANY OF THE TWO AS TAMPERING WILL VOID EXISTING WARRANTY.

Game controller always prompt

That happened with my controller as well. What you need to do, unfortunately, is get a plug n play with the rechargeable battery pack. The connectors inside your battery pack are bending, making it so the batteries aren't touching the two conductors.

How do i install an xbox360?

Plug the power unit into to the back. Plug the AV cable to the back of the TV (match the colors) and the back of the Xbox. You'll either use the red/white/yellow if you have a regular tv, or the red/green/blue if you have an HDTV. Then switch the switch on the AV cable to the right setting (HDMI/HDTV or regular TV). Install the AA alkaline batteries in the controller (or the battery pack if you got the rechargeable battery kit). Plug the power cord into the power unit, then last plug the power cord into the wall. Wait a minute for the power unit to light up and then push the big green Xbox button in the middle of the controller down for three seconds and let it go. It should turn on. If not, find someone local to help you. This is all stuff covered in detail in the owners manual.

4 flashing red lights

  1. Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.
  2. Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.
  3. If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.
  4. If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.

Sound works but no image

This means the AV cable is not detected, try one of these...
