Question about Samsung HLP4663W 46" Rear Projection HDTV
When it finally comes on it fades in and out from purple to pink then finally get ok, but the process continues. Then it will suddenly goes completely off. Sometimes the noise continues. The TV is a 2004 and we have had the lamp replaced once, but I don't remember noise. Thank you for you help. It is a 52" DLP
From your description sound like you might have a stalling color wheel. the color wheel on a dlp is what provides the color. it is a spinning disk of different colored glass. that must reach certain speed for the tv to operate. and like all moving parts eventally break, and need replaced. you may be able to replace this if your tecnically inclined but i recommend a tech. it may need be setup
