Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI02IRBS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
Does not seem to be getting water to the top shelf to clean the dishes.
This is certainly a pressure problem that plagued a large percentage of Kitchenaid/Whirlpool dishwashers in homes, and here is the fix:
My dishwasher was never able to clean dishes well since new, so I took a closer look and found a design problem with the water supply tube on the back wall. There are two holes with rubber flap in the middle of the pipe, but only one is used. The bottom rubber flap is supposed to be closed, however, due to poor design in fitment, the flap will not stay tightly shut, therefore leaking precious water pressure to the mid and upper sprayer. Even the lower sprayer will be weak due to the lack of back-pressure. I took apart the flapper assembly and siliconed the bottom flapper shut, then carefully snapped back the plastic cover assembly, so the rubber will stay properly seated in the poorly designed trim. My dirty dishes come out super clean now even in quick cleanup mode!
Make sure the water supply tube is properly sealed from bottom to top! Very important to have good seal so you get a strong water pressure all the way to the top sprayer.

You need to clean the jets on the machine arm with an old toothbrush etc... then clean out the debris filter on the bottom of the tub near the dryer bar. The calcification in the little jet areas causes this problem. This should help.

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad...
