SOURCE: The tension on the recumbent exercise bike does not get hard

If your bike has magnetic resistance and you changed the batteries this should make your tension work properly. Since it did not I believe that there are magnets somewhere on your bike that are wearing out. Or it could be a computer part. Your manual should tell what part you need to order and replace. I hope this information has been helpful.

Also make sure the batteries that you put in your bike are really new ones. Sometimes you can purchase new batteries at a store and they are actually a little weak. I had this problem with an elyptical trainer and I went and got other batteries and this fixed the problem.

Adjusting tension on sanding belt Craftsman Mod 113-225831. Can't tell exactly where to adjust the tension to keep sanding belt from traveling inward.

it is not tension you adjust but parallel running of the front pulley
normally there is a knob along the arm that you can move in or out carefully and you will see the belt run back to covering the pulley
best do it when you spin the belt by hand as the adjustment is touchy

I hav an edge 426 magnetic bike an there is no resistance/tension. how do i correct this?

Hi There, does this machine adjust resistance with a turn knob or via electronic buttons? If it's a crank or turn style resistance adjustment, this is usually positioning a pair of magnets near a spinning disk inside that front cover. Electrical "magnetic" resistance units use an Eddy-Current brake system which also produces a magnetic field near the spinning disk, either way the magnetic attraction properties will stop any metal (conductive) disk from spinning, or at least provide a resistance to it spinning ;o) Crank tension units have a cable and pulley system inside. Good Luck

What makes a belt squeak?

Belts squeak for the same reason tires do when they spin. They are slipping. Something isn't turning as fast as the belt wants it to. On ford it's usually ether the idler sprocket or the tensioner. If you remove the belt and try spinning all of the pulleys by hand.( note the crank wont spin freely) you will usually be able to tell witch ones slipping.

Dde 5100ralwh dryer belt replacement, got new belt but wont get enough tension to spin ,how to adjust tensioner

There is no adjustment on tension pulley. Sounds as if you haven't got belt on right. It should show you how belt loops around pulley on the package the belt came in. Also you might want to check to be sure you have the right belt.Hope this helps.

I already replaced the belt, could it be defective if the squeeking is still there. 2000 rodeo 6cylinder tension pulley, can you adjust these

I am sure your new belt is fine. The tensioner will automaticaly adjust to the correct belt tension on its own.If You are convinced the squeeking is comming from the tensioner pully bearing then you need to replace it.Or you can do a quick check, by putting a wrench on it the same way you did to replace the belt.Pull and lift tensioner up and away from the belt and with your free hand spin the pully if it squssks or is rough to spin then it needs to be replaced, do this test with (Engine Not Running).Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

Simpson Encore 605 - belt sometimes squeals during spin .What maintenance should I do? Spins fine - just squeals from time to time.

Many washers squeal when spin starts. A new belt usually solves it. A bit of belt dressing for car fan belts works wonders. **unplug it while you apply belt dressing!
There is usually a tension adjustment by moving the motor mount back a small amount. Don't over do the tension.

Loud squeal during wash and spin cycles, maytag atlantis washer

Squealing normal occurs due to belt slippage. I would check your belts (look for cracks. Check the belt tension as well, most washers have an adjustment, normally on the motor that allows you to increase the tension of the belt.

If part of a belt gets torn and it is long enough, it will hit any part of the washing machine within range and make a clicking noise at every revolution of the motor.

I am pretty sure you need new belts. You should be able to remove a few screws and open the back cover. Between the pulleys there is a tensioner...loosen that so you can remove the belt easily. replace it with a new belt and adjust the tension.

hope this helps
