There should be screws on the back side of the top panel that come out. Then the panel will slide out so that you can access the front controls.

Unplug your dryer (seriously, don't forget to do this.)
Using a thin screwdriver or putty knife and a cloth (to protect the painted surface) insert the screwdriver between the lid on the front left, then right and pry the lid up. There are no screws to remove to get the lid up, just two spring clips. Lift the lid and allow it to lean back. It will stay there nicely, but be careful that the lid does not get pushed back down with your fingers in there.
On the right hand side, there are two (white) connectors that you need to pull apart. With good light, you will see where to press to open them. You can not re-connect them wrong.
Look down inside the front of the lid-less dryer on the left then right side, you will see one Philips screw on each side that needs to be removed.
With the screws removed, pull forward on the front panel untill some clips release and the panel leans forward.
The bottom of the front panel sit on clips that do not need to be removed. You simply list the whole front panel straight up and you can then turn it around to get at the switches.
Hey, while you have the front off, vacuum the inside and pull all the lint out of the area beneath the lint screen which is all located on the front panel.
Inspect the belt, looking for wear. You can turn the drum easily with your hands. Also, the drum light is probably burned out. They ship with a lame night light that burns out really fast. I went to Home Depot and found an LED replacement (with the proper size base) which I am confident will last a long time.
Hope this helps.

check the main power and terminal block make sure there is power and no problems with the terminal block.
also a bad thermal fuse can cause a problem with the power check the thermal fuse and make sure they have continuity.the last thing to look at is the main control board these can cost up 150.00 dollars depending on where you get it.Bottm line yes i would say it is worth fixing

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
From what you have described the light on your Frigidaire dryer blinks and then shuts off. Which light are you referring to? If you could provide a little more information I could assist you further. -Matt

Thank you for your post, friend!
From my understanding your Frigidaire dryer is not starting and the lights just blink. It sounds like a faulty door switch or control panel. I would check to make sure the latch or door strike is not cracked or broken if the door is not closing properly that could be the cause of your dryer not starting.
You could also perform a reset on your dryer and that could help clear any faulty error codes within your dryer. To reset your dryer you would unplug the power cord for ten minutes. I hope this has been beneficial. -Matt

Hey Del Richard, thank you for your post!
It sounds like a possible issue within the control panel or drain pump. I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional to properly diagnose your appliance to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt
