Question about Olevia LT26HVX 26 in. LCD Television

Lcd tv picture problem

I have a Olevia LCD HDTV, 26" a little over 2 years old and out of warranty of course. When you first turn it on it's perfect, but after it's been on for 30 minutes or so it gets a horizontal thin black line a few inches down from the top. I'm sure this is nothing I can fix, but was really wondering if any one knew if it was fixable by a repair shop and whether it was going to be an expensive fix. Thanks.I cannot get the color to adjust properly on my Olevia LT26

Hi

The mainboard of the TV is not good and would cost you around $500-$650 .

Thanks

Also the connections from Mainboard to Lcd gets loosened overtime and due to this the charge doesnt flow in the lcd properly so you can also check for those connections.

    Thanks

It would be an expensive fix because LCD Panel is defective.
LCD Panel has tapping bond for signal flow in Crystals and it seems one of that bonds is not working properly. It is not repair shop level repair and LCD Panel needs to be replaced which of course cost you around new TV price.

Olevia 32 inch tv turns itself off after a min everytime i turn it on its 4 years old? what do i do

Aside from trying different power cords, I'm afraid there isn't much you can do with an LCD TV with a power issue. Since it's four years old, I'm assuming it's no long under warranty. Did you purchase it with an extended coverage plan or anything?
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope it helps, though!

L have an olevia flat screen tv that turns off on its own whenever... what could it be?

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Olevia 242T 42" LCD HDTV - Suddenly No Picture, Nothing Works

I heard they were restructuring their company or something.
There has been a change ownership from Syntax-Brillian to Olevia International Group.
Details of Olevia brand
Unfortunately for all of us (we have 747i) service seems very poor and the failure mode you describe doesn't give me any clues despite 40+ years of service experience.
Ours is still 100% but I now suspect our trouble will come.

I have the same problem, too!

If your LCD is 8 months old, still under manufacturers warranty. I would call them back and ask them to provide you with a telephone number of their nearest service center to you and have it repair under warranty. The failure is with the video board or main board.
Good Luck.
