What you have found as a model number may in fact, be a part number for the inner lining.
Check your owner's manual for the model number.

Check to see if your unit is equipped with a setting for humid/dry climates and if it is present, it should be set to correspond to yours.

The defrost cycle melts concealed, built-up frost, with an internal heating element.
That produces water that should normally drain through a hidden path down to the evaporation tray at floor level under your unit.

If the path is blocked, the water will find its way into the interior and refreeze wherever it lands.

Gaining access to the element and the drainage path can be a real pain in some refrigerators and requires removal of the liner of the freezer for access.

Good luck.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator. Model # ET1CHMXKBO3 and it leaks water into the bottom of the refrigerator. Water also freezes on the bottom of the freezer compartment. I checked for a clogged hole o

When your refrigerator defrost the water runs into a drain pan in the bottom/underneath the refrigerator, You will need to first unplug and remove contents from freezer and proceed to remove the air tower in the center of the back panel, underneath the evap. coil in the center is a hole that leads to the drain and it is iced over and the water is not able to flow. What i do is get a hair dryer (be careful not to melt the plastic) and defrost/melt the ice. You will need a towel to start and once you think you have the ice removed get some hot water and pour in the trough to make sure it flow's to the drain pan. When the flow is good put the part's back and make sure the refrigerator is level from side to side and slightly tilted towards the back (front to rear)!

My freezer is working but not at top notch capacity. The refrigerator is definitely not working properly as the spring water, for example, is not chilled. What must I do to resolve this...

Hi Alexandra. Hey New York? Brrrrr.

The thermostat actually controls the freezer side. The fridge side is controlled with cold air blown from the freezer side. The controls in the top of the fridge box contain the thermostat/switch, and the damper adjustment for the cold airflow from the freezer to the fridge side. Your problem is a blockage of the cold airflow from the freezer to the fridge side.
1. Frost blockage of the passage
2. Fan stoppage on the freezer side
3. stuck or broken damper

Some dampers are just simple movable plastic doors, some are servo/solenoid/motor operated.
Look up your fridge on Sears Parts, and the exploded diagram will help where to find the passage and how it can be blocked.

Model KSRS25FGWH01-water is dripping inside the freezer ice bin.

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Fan sounds like it runs slow, fast, slow with a wining sound. There is black residue in the back bottom of the deepfreeze.

If the black residue , is on the left , in the back , then the # 5 thermistor needs to be replaced . This is a white torpedo looking piece , with 2 white wires going to it , inside a holder at the bottom of the freezer panel . This thermistor , tells the control board , the freezer temp , and if bad , it will " lie" to the board , which can cause the fan speed to vary .

Glad you mentioned the residue with the noise . Had other questions concerning the fan speed , so now , it finally makes sence . Thanks for a complete question WITH observation .

Try GOO Gone in either the liquid spray or the gel. This will not remove anything like paint or things like that. You can also use this on your cars finish and will not hurt it. So you are good to go

There is freezer burn on chicken in plastic packages

Hello
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

You need to use good freezer bags and not just plastic bags in the freezer.
And use these products witin six months..
When you put food into a plastic container for the freezer.
you need to burp the container.
That means to hold it with two hands and with one hand raise the corner of the lit a tiny bit while with the other hand you press down on the center of the lid and close the corner quickly so as to have burped out most of the air in the container. a little like a vacuum packed container.
So less air is in the container to cause condensation inside which is the frost you are getting
