It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

My 2000 dodge neon has a loud noise coming from the front and feels like something is not letting the tire move freely

Safty first,Can you safely jack the frount of the car chalk the rear tires and put the transmission in nuetal. Try to spin the wheel by hand. Then take the wheel off and checked your brakes? It could be be the brake pads or caliber locking up. Or as simple as a rock stuck in there. I hope this helps you.

Washing Machine making loud banging noises when it is spinning

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

(If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

When the washing machine is in spin mode it make a loud noise.

Check to see if the sides have come loose first by tapping on them. If you hear a metal "clang" you need to re-seat the loose panel. If all sides and front are secure check to see if the feet on the bottom have become "stuck". The easiest way to do this is to rock the washer and the feet should extend and retract. If they done they need to be cleaned to allow them to move freely.

When i put a wash load on there is a loud rubbing noise from my washing machine it only happens when i put clothes in the machine. Is it out of balance ? Any help would be great.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @ 20:51 Mon evening

It is worth checking the balance always, whether it is a front loader or top loader. You do not say what make or model- but the instructions are the same for all!
Firmly push one front corner of the machine and see if the machine rocks AT ALL. If it does then the foot at that corner must be adjusted downwards until it is hard on the floor- not so hard as to lift the machine though!
If it doesn't rock from that corner then do the same thing from the other. Once certain all is OK ensure that all of the feet are locked in position by the lock nuts so that they cannot move and your machine should be balanced!
Best of luck,

John C

Maytag top load washer making a loud noise when spinning

make sure you loads are balanced, put heaviest clothes in first... if you can rock it by hand then the legs are not adjusted properly. If you stand 2 feet away from front of machine, jump up and down and see it move the floor is soft and you need 2 sheets of plywood to make 1 1/2 inches put under the machine

LG Front Load Washer Problem

The washer is not leveled correctly.  You will need to adjust the front feet to level the machine.  Run a load of clothes in the washer.  When it gets to the spin mode, check the level of the machine by pushing the front left corner and the front right corner.  If the noise quiets down on either corner of the machine, adjust the legs on that side.
