Turning off a sub zero 3211 rfd

I want to turn off the refrigerator. When I turn the dial inside the fridge to the off position, it doesn't stop the machine from running. Is there another power switch somewhere? Thanks.

Nope, that's it if you turned the one in the refrigerator and NOT the one in the freezer! It is probably a defective switch... To turn it off for sure, just unplug it!

Replace the thermastat. the switch in the question I mean the contacts inside are stuck or fused closed and are not disconnecting when the set point is reached.

SOURCE: sub-zero model#3211-rfd, side by side,

Have you cleaned the coil? Pop the grate off the top of the fridge and vacuum the coil as well as the grate thoroughly.

Why is my sub zero fridge model 590 warming up?

Hi fridges will warm up on the outside as they remove heat from the inside. excessive heat with not extreme cooling inside the fridge indicates a possible degridation of coolant fluid or a leak. as the motor tries to cool the fridge the thermostat inside stays on as the tempreture inside has not been reached. if you hear the motor/ pump continually running this will indicate a cooling problem.

Does the sub zero model 361 rfd refrigerator have a separate thermostat control for the freezer ?

No, the 361RFD does not have a separate control for the freezer as this unit has a single compressor. The control is located behind the back panel in the refrigerator compartment and the part number is 4201470.

Our sub-zero refrigerator has not been cooling properly and mold builds up near the bottom

My Sub Zero 561 would lose cooling in the main fridge area over time and I would usually turn the thermostat down. This helped but I'd get an ice buildup on the back wall of the fridge, especially if it was packed full of stuff and didn't allow for air movement. I finally removed everything, removed the back panel to the fridge, and discovered that the entire rear area was a solid block of ice. A defrost fixed it but I had to turn up the thermostat to keep it from coming back. Now it works great after driving me crazy for years.

Pro48 sub zero clicking

This usually indicates that the control module is bad. Trace the clicking to it's source either on the back of the fridge or inside the fridge near the controls.
