There are alot of different routers on the market and alot of different shaft sizes for the router bits. There are also a number of shaft size adapters that can be found at good hardware stores that can be purchased to solve your problem. May I suggest you walk into one of them with your router and some sample bits and ket the sales people find you the correct adapter!
