Nespresso latisimo plus 4 lights keep flashing when switch on and just switches off?

Try pressing and holding all four buttons down, then, while still holding the four buttons down, turn the machine on with the power switch. This should return the machine to its factory settings. If you've had the machine for a year or more it may need descaling, but the Cappuccino button usually glows orange when this is necessary. Hope this helps - good luck!

The unit is heating the steam - the lights should switch to contant once the right temperature is reached. Make sure to always descale the machine if the cappuccino button light turns orange.

Orange light on delonghi nespresso

Sorry chaps, all these suggestions are wrong. The orange light on the small cappuccino button means the unit needs to be descaled. See Nespresso support to download the user guide and you'll see this explained there

Hello 'lord tatien', from my research I suggest you call 1-866-273-8455 8a to 5p Pacific time. I couldn't find technical info on line. You may try this, unplug unit overnight. It should have an internal over/temp power breaker on the heating element witch would reset after cooling off.

We've tried to start our Phillips Espresso Bar type HD5702/A, but can't seem to get the water to go into the coffee; Are there a step-by-step instructions on how to get it going (we got it from a friend...

There are merely 3 controls on the unit, two swithes on the right hand side and a turn knob on the left hand side. Press the upper switch - power should go on as indicated by a red light, the orange light of the lower switch indicating the unit is heating up. When the orange goes off, you can press the lower switch whitch starts the compressor to pump up the boiling water into the coffee. During coffee preparation the orange light may go on from time to time indicating the unit is reheating. Stop the pump when coffee is enough. When turning the knob on the left by 90degrees the unit will produce steam and feed it out through the metal nozzle at the left of the unit.

Water button orange light appear even after descaling

I had the same problem too.
Do repeat the descaling with water only. After the descaling the Lattissima shuts down. Just wait some time after shutdown before restarting the Lattissima again. The orange light will be turned off.
Hope this helps you too!

No coffee

We had exactly the same problem. I called the repair shop that had done some repair and maintenance work on our Seaco Vienna superautomatica 3 months before. They had some suggestions which seemed to work:

The problem with the descaling is that the water with the descaling solution only gets flushed through the hot water wand but not through the outlet that leads to the brew group, so small mineral residue that get loosened can get stuck in there. After having the coffee machine turned on and heated up, I removed the brew group, which turns the coffee machine off automatically, so I have access to the water outlet (nozzle) in the back behind the brew group. It has 2 orange caskets and is of a beige color. A small lever on the beige part can be pushed upwards carefully with a fingernail or small screw driver. This releases some steam and pressure so if something is stuck in that outlet it might get flushed out. One can also try to gently insert a tooth pick at the end of the nozzle to loosen stuff. I repeated this procedure a few times after the machine heated up again.

So far it worked and it brews normal coffee again.

How do I pre brew

I got one of these for xmas, and I was able to program the pre-brew option.

First, turn off the machine.
On the front of the machine, there is series of 5 buttons. (From left to right, they are: Small Coffee, Large Coffee, Pre-ground Coffee, Hot water and Descaling.)

While holding down the 1st (Small coffee) and 4th (Hot water) buttons, turn on the power.
Wait 3-5 seconds before releasing these two buttons. You machine is now ready for programming.

Below the 5 buttons are 4 small lights. If the second light from the left is red, the machine is already programmed to pre-brew. If the light is not red, do the following:

Press the Coffee button (2nd button from the left) once and the second light from the left should glow red. This turns on pre-brewing. (Pressing the Coffee button again will turn off both the light and the pre-brew option.)

Now turn off the power for at least 5 seconds. The next time you turn the machine on, it should pre-brew the coffee.

The process worked great for me the first time, but when I wanted to program the machine to not pre-brew, I had to go through this process a couple of times. Not sure why, though. :-)
