Question about Televison & Video
I tried to reset the channels but it doesn't work.
You need to go into the TV menu and reprogram everything one at a time. You probably received an owner's manual with the TV. Read it to st up the TV....or, if you feel confident reading the choices in the menu in the TV, start there....go to setup and have the TV scan for all available channels...etc!

First thing to try is a power drain:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so that the device is not grounded to the house. Do not simply turn off the power-bar if one is in use.
2. Press and hold in the products power button for 1 minute to release the retained electricity from the capacitors and circuit board. 3. Plug the product back into the wall outlet rather than a power-bar to rule it out of contributing to the problem and turn the device back on.
If this doesn't solve the issue, it sounds like your TV's connection between the power supply and the mainboard is defective. If the power supply was shot, you would hear nothing at all. I hope the above step helps.

SOURCE: I have an Element 32
I talked to the manufacturer & they said that all I needed to do was to run the channel search, uninterupted, again. I did it & everything works. Thank you for your input.

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble. This is a common problem on these models.Unfortunately, there is no reset button or fuse. The unit has to be repaired. You could try to unplug the unit for few minutes, say 15 minutes and then see, if that resets the problem unless repair is the only option.
These sets do have problems with the upper and lower sustains. But before I would say that they are the problem,I would check all of the capacitors on the power supply board.
I have seen many failures in the following capacitors. Look for bulging or swelling of the following. C238, C240, C241, C242, & C253 their values all 3300 mfd 10 volt.
You can see a picture of the power board at the following link.
You can also see other parts and prices and can order from the following link.
these are for you model and include the upper and lower sustain boards.
It would be hard to determine an estimate until you find which board may be bad.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
