Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

This is easy in a nutshell. from the cablebox into the VCR RF connection (ant in) then from the VCR RF into the TV RF in. The from the DVD composite video out and audio out into the VCR composite video in and audio in. This make the VCR the hub of your setup the VCR should be set to channel 3 and you can switch between the VCR and the DVD by using the VCR remote. Now for the cords: 1) Cable to VCR RF = Coaxial 2) Composite Video and audio out = RCA patch cable 3)Composite Video and audio in = RCA patch cable That is it. If your TV can support multiple inputs then use it as the hub. Cable Box to VCR RF (Coax cable) VCR to TV RF(coaxial cable) or VCR to TV Composite video, or TV Component Video (RCA Cable) DVD Player to Composite video, or TV Component Vido (RCA Cable), or Svideo (Svideo cable)

You need to have an antenna in (from TV antenna or cable). Set the VCR to that channel and press RECORD. Or use the on screen menu to set up the recording time/channel

You really need to have a manual to find the step by step instructions for your VCR. Go to this website and search
for a VCR manual from Sharp. I was there and did not find the exact manual.Download a couple of ones that have similar model numbers and follow the process.

www.retrevo.com

Or call Sharp and ask them to fax/email you a manual.

WOULD LIKE A USER MANUAL FOR A SHARP VC-A582U

It depends what you are recording from. Most newer tv broadcast will block the recording by injecting copyright code into the stream. It forces you to get a dvr system from the company like cable or satellite. Because of the new digital broadcast it makes over the air recording to vhs difficult. More for the fact that you have to hook a converter box to the vcr to get the signal from digital to analog again. Here is the link to the manual. http://archivos.diagramas.mx/otros/VCA582U.pdf
