Question about Gateway GT5220 PC Desktop
Most of the time I do not get a signal from the Gateway GT5220 with a nVidia GEForce 6150 video integrated into mother board. have tried replacing video card with another nVidia but computer doesn't recognize it even with cd software coming with it. Gateway now says my mother board is problem. only 1.5 years old. any suggestions???
Hopefully, it is just the on board video that has gone bad, and not the motherboard. When you install a video card on a PC, that has on board or integrated video, you will need to access the BIOS screen on start up and disable the on board video. That way the video signal will come from the new video card and not the on board video.
I hope this helps,
