please back up all you files or pictures ist onto a disc or pendrive
because if you take it back to factory settings you will loose everything that you have put onto the
laptop but the bonus is that you will have a nice clean hoopefully sweet running laptop
When your computer starts up it runs a series of test called the POST (Power On Self Test). When test is complete it beeps to let you know if the hardware is OK or if there is a problem. One beep means the hardware passed the test with no problems. If your getting more than one beep you'll have to check with your manufacture to find out what it means. Go to their web site and search "POST error codes", this should give you the information you need.
The sound card drivers might not be installed or there is a problem with it. if you buy a live chat session I'm sure someone can help you out with this problem or take it to a local professional.
or if you want to attempt at this yourself check if there is a problem with the device, press start, then run, type msinfo32 click ok, on the system info program, open components and then problem devices, do you see any problem devices there? sound card? if so, then check the packard bell support website for sound card drivers and try installing them.
Look at the keys on your keypad. Do you see one that may have a webcam symbol on it? If so try holding down on the Fn key, and pressing down on that key at the same time.
If this information does not help, then when Windows is loaded, and running, press the Start key, hover your mouse cursor on All Programs, go to the right, hover on >Packard Bell>drop down to >Security and Support>and then Packard Bell InfoCentre.
Click on Packard Bell InfoCentre. On this screen look at the icons across the top. Click on the icon all the way to the right. -> Guides It has an icon of a book in it. Look for Webcam.
If you cannot see the speaker icon in the taskbar, click on Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices and tick place icon in the taskbar. That's if a driver has been installed for your sound device which is a creative sounblaster I think.
Upgrade bios first...then load bios defaults in bios....solves most problems, if still no cd, borough one from friend,if still not....cd enclosure in side laptop faulty or broken...this happen if continous in and out sliding of cd.
