SOURCE: kenmore heavy duty clothes dryer will not heat

You really need a volt / ohm meter to check for Continuity & Volts Its well worth the investment... $15.00 bucks give or take a few I would check to see if you have 220v to back of dryer where the cord mounts to dryer, If dryer is getting only 1 leg 110 volts instead of the 220 will it not heat. Check themostates & heater for Continuity... Most models, Now have a.. Hi-limit fuses that need to be checked for Continuity

SOURCE: electric dryer won"t heat. Kenmore Heavy Duty 70

are you getting power down to the heater?why did you change all those other parts?you need to unplug the dryer, with a meter read out all the parts you changed out again but first make sure you have 240 volts coming to the machine, you can check it at the cord in the back, touch the white to the red,you should have 110 volts or 120,then go from the white to the black and you should have the same thing,if not the problem is in the house,if it's correct make sure you have power coming down to the heater, you could have a bad timer or a burnt wire, when you check the other parts unplug the dryer and whatever part you check at least one wire has to be removed,do this and you'll find your problem,if you did this first you wouldn't of bought all those parts.let me know what you find

Hello, I have Amana LG4309W heavy duty gas dryer.

sounds like one of the supply fuses at the house panel, these 240 volt dryers are wired so the timer is on one phase(120)volt and the motor is on the opposite phase(120)volt and the heating element is on both phases for a combined 240 volts,if you lose one phase you either wont get motor operation or timer operation, and for sure no heat and you have the timer so you have 120volts

My Amana Heavy Duty Dryer will not heat up. It tumbles but it doesnt warm up. WE have cleaned out the the machine and the vent to the outside.

You didn't state if it is a gas or electric dryer. If gas the igniter element is bad, if electric the heating coils need replaced. Goodluck Google burdfrenzy

My dryer heats up but want dry the clothes...Amana Heavy Duty Electric model number NED5100TQ1

You need to check the exhaust, from the back of the dryer to where it leaves the out side. They sell a brush you may use to clean the pipes, You may also use a vacume. Try it with the hose diconnected from the back for a load. If it does better then, get to cleaning. be sure you check the lint filter. Good luck, and please rate my answer that I can improve them.

Where is the thermostat for my electric Amana dryer LE8207W2

Normally they will be located in the air tube from the blower to the drum, and the heating element will be located in there also.
