There is a way to make your player region free - do the following: I have a new HT-E3500 and did the following: I have a Region B/4, player I used the R4 code from below. 1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen. 2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner 3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code. In this case Repeat 76884 It needs to be done without delay. (consequently) So if you don't get it to work straight away don't loose heart. 4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner 5) Press 9 to make it regionless. 6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray. 7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray. 8) Power the unit off 9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc. From other threads I got the follow list of region codes. R1 - 29334 R2 - 57538 R3 - 56732 R4 - 76884 R5 - 53814 R6 - 24462

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can I unlock a Sony BDP-S185 to allow it to play any region dvd's

When a DVD disc is created, it is encoded with a "Region number." The disc will only play on DVD players with the same Region number - for instance, a Region 3 disc won't play on a Region 1 player.
Region 1: U.S. and U.S. Territories, Canada
Region 2: Japan, Western Europe, Middle East, South Africa
Region 3: South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast and East Asia Region 4: New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, Mexico, Central/
South America
Region 5: Russia and the former Soviet Union, Africa, Indian
subcontinent, North Korea Region 6: China
The only way to get around the region codes, is to rip a DVD to your computer and remove the region code. Then burn the DVD to a DVD R. There are programs around on the net, but I'm not sure it is legal in all countries.
Google for the programs.
A DVD player sometimes allows you to change the region code once. But it not even would allow you to switch back after you changed it once.

Most DVD players allow one change. So if you buy a region 1 player and live in region 3 you can change the region to 3. But if you return to region 1 you can't switch back.
If you have a computer and a toaster to burn your DVD's, there are program m's that can rip a DVD to a folder on your computer and then recode the files to a DVD that has no region.
If you have lots of DVD's it would be wiser to rip the DVD to the PC, remove the region code and put the content on a media player.
In a few years you can't buy DVD's. Perhaps some blue ray DVD with 4K or 8K HD will exist for a while, but ???

How do I unlock region 4

Region 4 refers to DvD's or Blu-Rays made to be played in South America, Central America, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea and much of Oceania. Each region has its own type of disk code that can only be played on a player made for that region or particular players that can play disks from any region.

How do I unlock my LG RC388 to play other region disks

YES, it can be changed to view all regions. I've just done my new RC388 (bought it 4 hours ago) and it works.

To start the hack:
Click the home button on the remote, go to the Setup page, highlight the 16X9 TV aspect ratio and enter in this coded sequence: 1 3 9 7 1 3 9

A new factory menu now comes up on the screen.

To change the values of these options hit the enter button and scroll with arrow keys until you get to the option you want to change. For the region code hack replace the value of "option 5" with the value of: ff

Press enter.

(Changing this value will set unit to region code 0 which should allow any region to be played on the player.)

Now, hit the "return" button to save and exit.

Switch off the machine - switch on - all is well now.

Good Luck,
Will
