Is your antifreeze/water level up to level? Does the switch on the heater hose under the hood move when you move the heater lever in the cab back and forth? Is the heater fan working at all speeds? Check it out!

2005 ford explorer heat dosnt work

pull back the carpet on the passenger side and check for moisture, if it is wet your heatercore is bad. if no moisture and both hoses going to your heater core are hot it is possible the cable operated door is failing to open. this link should help in both cases http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairguides/Lincoln-Aviator-Ford-Explorer-Exp-Sport-Exp-Sport-Trac-Mercury-Mountaineer-2000-2005/Heater-Core/Removal-Installation/_/P-0996b43f802e40b6

Can not turn on my heat..ford explorer

you may have abad hot /cold blend door acuator.its bolted to air box. also make sure both heater hoses going to heater core are hot,if only one is hot and the other is luke warm or cold then you may have a clogged heater core, remove hoses (@ core) and flush with water hose go both ways a couple of times. good luck hope this helps.

heater control valve..heater core clogged ..circulation to heater control valve weak restricted or closed..do a radiator flush and fill thoroughly backflushing the heater lines with heater open all the way...if no smell or leaks inside cabin passenger area or losing coolant you should fix teh problem... other issue could be control head not opening blend doors properly
